8 Racing Flash! (1/2)

”Be very quiet now viewers. Last time that I was seen trying to commentate on what he was doing he almost kicked my ass. This time though I have a secret weapon. So let us begin. If you watch where I zoom the camera in, not yet, there! Right there! He is right there! Wait he disappeared? Where did he go?”

”Oh, I thought I told you to stop following me around hmm? Maybe you're just a masochist and want me to beat you?”

”No sir, I am not just uh... I just um, wanted to show everyone how amazing you are! Yeah that's it!”

”That is one of the most poorly thought out attempts I have ever seen. This is my 8th chapter. 8th! All I've done is go to Naruto's world before Naruto is even born and basically make chakra dense. Boom, summed up the last several chapters. Go home. ”

”But I-”

”Then come back next time with a better reason for watching me. God, making me have to check my bathroom before I piss.”

Damn amateurs. You don't just go and start saying that someone is amazing within 8 chapters. You have to at least wait 50 because that's when you really get a feel for the story and if the character is actually good. I've learned from reading so many novels only and thought they were amazing only to have them be ruined by one character.

Anyway, sorry for cutting out so fast last time guys, I forgot one of the downsides to shadow clones was the fact that you get all the mental fatigue they get as well so I ended up passing out till the next day. I need to work with the training a bit better than that, I don't want to pass out every time if I can help it.

Well anyway after I woke up Jiraiya passed by with one of his students, a kid with spiky yellow hair, seemed to be about 11 or so. ”Hey Joseph, wanted you to meet my star pupil” He talks to me with a large grin on his face while rubbing the kids hair.

I crouch down to the kid and talk to him, ”Hey, my name is Joseph, but you can call me Joe. What's your name?” You may be wondering where my personality went? Well even though I'm pretty sure this is Minato and will be a terrifying Hokage in the future I can't help being kind to him, kids are a weak spot of mine.

He looks up to me as if analyzing my character and every little movement before smiling, ”So you are just like Jiraiya-Sensei said, you are kind to a fault.” Wow, I feel called out right now. I raise my eyebrow up to Jiraiya to ask what he means.

”Ah, well I may or may not have told him all that you have done for the leaf... well not everything, but he knows you made a new secret Jutsu that may be revealed to shinobi in the leaf soon, he also knows that you are faster than me. Which is one of the reasons he also is here, he wants to race you. Oh yeah, the kind to a fault thing, its about not getting scared or mad when Tsunade hit you, most react one way or the other, even he knows it.” Well I have to praise Jiraiya's honesty at the very least.

I look back to Minato, ”So you wanna race me?” He nods vigorously in response. ”Okay tell you what, you beat me and I'll tell you a secret, 'kay?” I wink at him to help him get the gist.

That gets a large smile from him, ”Okay, and if you win I'll teach you the technique I raced you with”

I nod and pat him on the shoulder, ”So where will we race to? Keep in mind I am new here.” Minato starts thinking rather seriously about what someone new would be able to run to easily.

After he appears stumped Jiraiya waves for us to go outside, Minato follows first and while I exit I close the door and lock it with my key. After I stand by Jiraiya he points to the mountain that looks like mount Rushmore that has the 1st through 3rd Hokage's heads on it with plenty of room for more. ”You race to the 3rd's left eye. Odd? Yes, but you will be at a disadvantage in regards to speed in regards to that Joseph, and that will give my little Minato here a chance.”

Oh I see, Jiraiya set this into his favor hmm? Well he doesn't know about my techniques.

Me and Minato get into a running position while Jiraiya counts down, and right after Jiraiya said 1 Minato shot off. I didn't move though and just summoned 3 shadow clones with the order of letting me know when he was about to get to the eye.

I turn to Jiraiya and smile, ”Well he will have fun with that.”

Jiraiya looks at me after rubbing his eyes, ”You know it won't count if you don't make it there yourself, right?”

I nod and smirk, ”Just watch the eye after I disappear. You'll see me there.”

He looks at me for a moment before giving up and sitting by where I am standing. After a few moments my clones disperse and he is about to get to the nose so I activate the Thunder God formula I left on his shoulder. What? Dirty? Of course it is but I haven't been up long and still want food.

I flash over to him before I activate my double body flicker technique (A/N: Time stop will be quadruple from now on) and realize I am falling in air so I throw one of the things I had my formula on, my shoe! It hits right by the eye and I appear right by my shoe moments later and I put it on before cancelling out my body flicker.

After a short bit Minato appears in the eye exhausted and very happy. Or at least was until he saw me sitting down in the eye. ”So it appears like you have joined me. I'm kidding, kidding. Honestly I cheated a bit. Look at your shoulder.”

He looks at his shoulder in confusion before he realizes what happened and responds to me, ”Wait, that is a formula of the... You know the Flying Thunder God Technique??!”

I smile at his reaction and nod, ”Yup, only learned it yesterday, but I must say I know some creative ways of using it. You can even use it from across the lands if you have enough chakra to at least move yourself or an object to it.” I mean I learned all this from the anime from things he did so I mean may as well pay it forward. ”I expect great things from you Minato. I'll give you a secret as a freebie, you have much more talent than anyone thinks. Keep training yourself to do better and better, but never forget those that care about you.”

I teleport back to outside my house before I sit down by Jiraiya. ”He's going to do big things one day”

Jiraiya nods solemnly, ”I think so too. I just wonder if you are basing this from what you saw or from what you know.” He looks at me with a sad look in his eye, I think he realizes how much of a burden it is to know the future. What he doesn't know is that I am already changing the bad future that happened. I don't want Hiruzen to die needlessly to his disciple's hands, I don't want Minato and Kushina to die, leaving Naruto alone to suffer (and well not be an annoying kid), I also don't want Obito to die, or the whole Uchiha clan.

I have a lot of wants but after I change the future I don't know what will happen, ”His future is what he makes it. He has the foundation to be great, and if done right he can be greater. Tell me Jiraiya do you have sage mode yet?” He looks at me in shock since apparently not many know that he has found it.

”How did you know?” I give a wry smile before waiting a moment to respond.

”It's something that left a strong impression on me, you using Sage mode that is. Would it be possible to take Minato to their land and have him learn senjutsu in less than a month?”

He seems to be thinking about various methods before shaking his head, ”No there isn't a way. It takes a month just to get there and another month to learn at the minimum with another month to get back.”
