64 Seed Interface (1/2)

”Hua Weiqing?” Shi Li didn't understand. ”If my mother brought you here, then aren't you supposed to have the same family name as her?”

Senior Yan was somewhat taken aback. Logically, a person would just ask their mother's name and be done it. But for some reason, Shi Li asked this.

Being his master, Senior Yan had no choice but to answer. ”Well, she does have another name, which is Hei Weiqiang. This is the name that your father knows, but the name I told you is her current name.”

Senior Yan sighed. ”As to why, it's because she has been admitted to the main branch of the bloodline, which is the Hua clan. The Hei clan is a side branch of the Hua clan, where Hua Weiqing and I came from. But due to her prodigious prowess, she was able to enter the main branch.”

”Does that answer your question?” Senior Yan asked just to make sure.

”It does but...” Shi Li nodded before following up with another question. ”How many branch clans does the Hua clan have?”

Senior Yan didn't expect to be asked this question as well. It took him a while to recall this certain information. ”The Hua clan has only three branch clans: the Hei clan, the Hong clan, and the Yuan clan.”

”Could you give me a more in-depth description of the clans, Master?” Shi Li eagerly asked him.

With no choice, Senior Yan answered. ”Let's start with the branch clans, I guess. The Hei clan specializes in the transformation of the bloodline interface we are given into an interface suited for killing.”

He added a bit of information afterwards. ”The interfaces the Hei clan have are called Slaughter Interfaces. I have a Grade 2 Slaughter Interface, but let's not get into the different grades of interfaces for now.”

”The Hong clan specializes in bloodline interfaces that are suited for healing and defense. Their interfaces are aptly named the Life Interfaces thanks to it. Most of the time, mercenaries and such hire members of the Hong clan because of their godly healing and defense techniques.”

”Next up is the Yuan clan. This clan specializes in the bloodline interface related to crafting and research, making their interfaces be named Research Interfaces. These members end up becoming creators of great techniques or end up becoming great alchemists, formation masters, or blacksmiths.”

”And last but not the least is the Hua clan,” Senior Yan put on a solemn expression.

”The Hua clan, being the main branch, has all the elite members of the three branch clans in it, with the inclusion of a special type of members. These members have a bloodline interface that combine the specialties of the three interfaces of the branch clans, calling their interfaces...”

”Omni Interfaces,” Senior Yan looked at Shi Li in the eye when he said that.

He took a deep breath to calm his mind before asking Shi Li a question. ”Why did you ask me about all of this?”

Shi Li then confidently replied, ”Because I found another goal to set after my original goal.”

”My original goal was to reach the middle Ascended Mortal realm and destroy the Huang clan,” Shi Li had killing intent in his eyes as he said this.

”But now...” he continued, ”the next goal I have in mind is to find my mother.”

Senior Yan saw Shi Li's determination in his eyes and asked, ”Are you sure? Don't you think that she's far away from you?”

”Of course I do!” Shi Li shouted. ”But you opened me to a bigger world, the higher realms of cultivation. With that, my mind has expanded as well, making me realize that someday, I might trek the whole Azure Dusk Continent in an instant, and even trek the whole Xiuzhen Planet in the snap of a finger.”

”So why not set a bigger goal than that and push me to the limit?” Shi Li laughed. ”If I pushed myself to the limit, then I won't have any regrets even if I don't find her, right?”

Senior Yan saw the look of firm resolve and determination in his eyes and couldn't help but sigh.

'If only I was that motivated back then, I would've still been at the True Principle realm, or even reach a higher realm now. But alas, there's no cure for regret,' Senior Yan wryly smiled.
