The other guard did the same gestures as well, they didn't really want to get fired from their positions.
Shi Li didn't berate them after that and just walked through the gate. It wasn't his style to do so.
'Becoming a guard is quite a good goal as well. Who wouldn't want to use inner energy at their beck and call?'

Shi Li headed towards his courtyard first before heading to his father's office. He wanted to look formal as much as possible.
He looked at Moddy and said, ”This is my house within the clan, you're free to roam around here as I take a bath.”
Moddy jumped down from his left shoulder and ran around with joy. ”Nyahahaha! Shi Li's house! So wide-nya!”
As Shi Li looked at Moddy with a smile, he noticed that Moddy's paws dirtied the floor. He then told Moddy to stop and said, ”Why not take a bath with me too?”
Moddy didn't know the idea of a bath and said, ”Sure-nya!”

”Nyaaaahhhh! I hate this bath!”
Moddy tried to run away from the water Shi Li was pouring over its head, but it couldn't really do so as the door was locked.
Shi Li, who had a towel over his waist, ran towards Moddy and said, ”We have to look as clean as possible!”
”Nyaaaaaaa! No more water-nyaaaaaaa!”

Shi Li wore a dark red robe before combing Moddy's fur neatly.
”Shi Li is a bad friend-nya! I don't like the bath at all-nya!”
Shi Li couldn't help but laugh at Moddy's expression. ”Well, taking a bath would allow you to become clean, you know?”
Moddy complained afterwards, ”But I can clean myself with a special skill-nya!”
”Oh?” Shi Li said. He grabbed a broom to clean up the dirt on the floor as he asked, ”What skill is it?”
”Since I'm clean now, I'll show it in the future-nya,” Moddy said.
Shi Li nodded and finished his brooming before telling Moddy to sit on his left shoulder. They then walked towards Shi Xingwan's office.

Shi clan, Shi Xingwan's room.
”Do you have any idea as to where Huang Tiankong went?” Shi Xingwan asked his attendant as the Huang clan has been silent for over two weeks now.
The attendant shook his head as he sadly replied, ”I apologize Patriarch. But according to our spies within the Huang clan, Huang Tiankong went missing just a few hours ago.”
”Missing a few hours ago...could it be?” Shi Xingwan thought up of the possibility, but denied it. He then gestured to the attendant as he turned his head around to look at the clan.
”You may now leave.”
”Excuse me then, Patriarch.” The attendant bowed and left the office in one swift motion.
Not long after, knocking on the door could be heard, making Shi Xingwan's head turn around.
”Who is it?”
”It's me Father. It's Shi Li,” an ever familiar voice to Shi Xingwan resounded through the door.
Shi Xingwan's eyes lit up and laughed with glee. ”Come in! Come in!”
Shi Li did what he was told to do and grabbed a chair to sit on after he closed the door behind him.
'This is definitely becoming a routine now,' Shi Li thought inwardly.
Shi Xingwan looked at Shi Li and noticed the white cat on his left shoulder.
”Where'd you get that?”
”Oh, Moddy. I got it from the forest, it's definitely a great help when fighting,” Shi Li replied with lies hidden in the truths. He didn't want to scare his father now, did he?
”Oh, I see. Well how did your tempering go, was there any progress?” Shi Xingwan asked.
Shi Li nodded with certainty as he replied respectfully.
”Yes, Father. I was now able to utilize 100% of my attack power in combat and even found a way to incorporate my cultivation technique into my attacks.”
He took a deep breath before continuing.
”I also reached the Second Stage of Skin Tempering.”
