Multiple screens greeted Shi Li's view as he basked in the feeling of increasing by just a small realm. Even though it hurt his body and it was expanded and contracted multiple times, the feeling was truly euphoric for the most part.
'If only people had cultivation in my previous life, they probably wouldn't be doing drugs but rather cultivating assiduously to always get that euphoric sensation,' Shi Li said inwardly.
Afterwards, he looked at the individual screens and was surprised to what it offered.
'Well, first off, my mental energy was increased alright. And my stamina as well, guess I wouldn't tire out that much...even though I don't get tired that much at all.'
'I can now opt to get Enhanced Skin, Mental Energy Expansion, and Stamina Expansion...as long as I can pay the price since it says trade. But I'm sure that the Basic version of those things alone would let me stand beyond my peers.'
'But the last screen is...definitely intriguing to say the least. A special skill huh. I think I'll save it for now, the clan library has a lot of those for my current needs.'
Shi Li opened his eyes and stood up before looking at Moddy who was still casting the barrier.
”Hey Moddy, you can stop now.”
”Nya?” Moddy heard Shi Li's voice and rotated its head.
”Nya.” Moddy understood and stopped beating on the drum as it definitely knew, Shi Li broke through.
”Nya, so what cultivation realm are you at now-nya?” Moddy asked.
”Second Stage of Skin Tempering, just a stage below you,” Shi Li replied.
”Even though your cultivation realm was two stage below mine, or one stage below mine right now, you still can't hide your monstrous combat power-nya!”
Moddy was dumbfounded at Shi Li's combat prowess as Shi Li was even able to fight against those at peak of Bone Tempering with only a set of movements. Moddy also had an attack that can beat those at the higher realm, but it would always turn them into ashes, rather than rendering them near-death.
”So what? The only reason I can show that much combat prowess is because of your own skills,” Shi Li bent his knees and rubbed Moddy's head with his hand. Lately, he would rub Moddy's head when he did something noteworthy, and Moddy would just purr rather than resist.
”Anyways, wanna go beyond the forest and truly discover the outside world?” Shi Li asked with a smile on his face.
Moddy stopped purring as it looked at Shi Li with eyes filled with yearning and determination. This was its calling, this was its purpose in life. This was the reason why it was fated to be with Shi Li.
”Nya, nya! Let's go-nya! I want to see the blue skies-nya! And eat different food-nya!”
Shi Li laughed at Moddy's expression as he let out a sigh of relief. He wasn't sure if Moddy wanted to come with him or not, but with this, Shi Li was assured.
He grabbed the bongos and kept it in his storage. He then urged Moddy to lie on his left shoulder, to which Moddy had no problem with and did what was told.
Checking that they brought all of their valuables, Shi Li and Moddy walked back to Verdant Breeze Town. Back to the Shi clan.
