24 One with the Heavens and Earth (2/2)

Even though it was too good to be true, it was possible. But knowing the eye's rule, he asked the interface.

'How much do I have to pay to sustain this space?'

~~~~~~~~
5% of user's mental energy every 2 minutes.
- Nonpareil Eye Interface
'How much mental energy do I have left?'
~~~~~~~~

User's mental energy: 80%

'Hmm...if I had 100% of my mental energy available, I would be able to sustain this space for 40 minutes. With 80% of my mental energy remaining, I could sustain for 32 minutes.'

'But I would faint when I reach around 30% of my mental energy so I can only sustain this space up to 50% of my mental energy remaining. Which leaves me with 12 minutes.'

Shi Li sighed as a heaven-defying item like this definitely was too good to be true.

'I'll just utilize these 12 minutes to the fullest.'

Without hesitation, he started to exert the movements of Heaven's Waltz. Each move held grace and ferocity behind the beauty of it.

Concurrently, a resonance was being formed between Shi Li and the heavens and earth as he continued to replicate every movement on the book.

Moddy looked at Shi Li's training and thought it was some sort of dance. It felt that as a dance, it would be better to have a beat in the background, so it sat on the white ground and started to beat on the drums.

Thump! Tathump-thump! Thump!

Unconsciously, Moddy used the [Enhancement Waltz] as it beat on the drums, boosting Shi Li's resonance with the nature even further.

And so, for a solid 10 minutes, a man and a cat was doing some sort of ritual event in a white space surrounded by the vast blue sky.

Shi Li felt as if every move summoned the power of nature. It was a strong feeling that was always being discussed on the novels he used to read.

Being One with the Heavens and Earth.

With just 10 minutes of being engrossed in this sensation, two additional movements were fully grasped by Shi Li, increased the amount of movements he could utilize in combat to 6!

He opened his eyes from his training session, only to see Moddy beating on his drums rhythmically and his body glowing faint green.

”It seems that Moddy was using the Enhancement Waltz on me, and that's why the effect of my session was greater than what was possible. But it seems like Moddy didn't know it was using Enhancement Waltz on me,” Shi Li muttered.

He then came closer to Moddy and tapped on its shoulder, making it stop beat its drums as it opened its eyes, looking at Shi Li.

”Nya. Sorry, I got engrossed into beating my drums-nya.”

Shi Li smiled back. ”Not to worry, to be honest your drum beating allowed me to progress even more than usual.”

”Progress more...which means, you weren't dancing-nya?”

”I can't say for sure if it's a dance or not, but it's my cultivation technique, that I can say with certainty.”

”Well dance or not, at least I helped you right-nya?”

Shi Li placed his hand over Moddy's head and rubbed it back and forth, making Moddy purr continuously.

”That's right, that's right. You definitely helped me out. Thanks, Moddy. You're a great friend.”

Afterwards, Shi Li went to one edge of the space and opened it with a wave of his hand. Even though the 12 minutes weren't up, any more time he used in this special space, the more mental energy used up which would possibly make him faint in the space, sucking his mental energy up and possibly his life.

He urged Moddy to follow him back to the outside world, with the reason being he would die if they stayed any longer. With that fear, Moddy didn't complain and followed him.

And then, after they were out of the space, Shi Li closed the rift up, and sat down on the ground, recovering his mental energy in the process.

Shi Li looked at Moddy who was eager to go out and fight against more beasts to train its skills even further. He said, ”Moddy, let's go and hunt later. My mental energy is almost used up, I might faint sooner or later.”

Being an understanding cat, Moddy nodded as it beat on the drums. ”Sure-nya. Take your time-nya.”

Hearing Moddy's reply, Shi Li lied down on the soft ground as he started to think of ways to conserve his mental energy. Currently, his mental energy was almost always being used as a price in exchange for items. It also seemed that he would need to rely on his mental energy to cultivate even further at a faster rate.

In the end, he decided to ask the interface.

'White Screen, how do I increase my mental energy?'
