”What do you think you're going?” Came the voice of Lili from behind him.

The only response she got was an unabashed smile on his mischievous face as he laughed quietly.

Though contrary to her wishes, Lili hasn't grown an inch in the past 6 years. In fact, she looked identical. As a succubus with the body of an elf, she had long passed her growing phase. Also, he breasts were also identical, nigh nonexistent.

Though these were generally sore topics for her, it wasn't as hard on her as the fact that she still a child in succubus standards. Even for an elf, she was a bit of a late bloomer as she hadn't awakened yet. Though humans usually became 'adults' at the age of 12, elves were considered adults in their 50s or early 60s. This year reached the mark of Lili's 70th birthday. Though there was little reason to be, she was quite embarrassed by this fact.

After dragging Kal over, Lili sat Kal on her lap and started rinsing his hair. His hair had a soft silky texture that would make women jealous. Although he had grown a lot over the past few years, he was still very short for his age, standing at 116 cm. Don't let his petit or girlish figure fool you though, due to his racial traits, even though he hasn't had puberty yet, his member would make some grown men feel self-conscious.

Kalin allowed Lili to run her fingers through his hair as she pampered him. As the darkness in the sky started to fade, the sun started to rise behind the mountains. As if this were a sign, the both of them made their way to the house, hand in hand, to get prepared for their journey.

As they were walking, Kal couldn't help but ask, ”Hey Lili?

”Hm?”

”Are you really going to take me with you today? You didn't forget, did you?”

Lili couldn't help but give an exaggeration sigh, ”Did you honestly think I'd forget? You've been constantly nagging me for the past 3 weeks.” She shook her head, ”You also have been right for over a month now, we need to take you to the church to get your status read...”

”And after that you're going to buy me my own weapon, right?” Kal interrupted.

”What did I tell you about interrupting, hm?” She sighed for a moment before continuing, ”Yep, then I'll get you your own weapon.”

”Yay!” cheered Kal loudly.

”Shh,” Lili shushed him as she knocked him on the head, ”you'll wake up Mom and Rose.”

They entered the cabin. After confirming that both of the others were still asleep, they quietly got on their clothes for their journey. After dressing, the both of them entered the basement to procure materials for their journey.

Inside the basement, there were many piles of different hides and other materials lining the walls. Several racks filled with various weapons were scattered across the floor, and in one corner, there was a cast number of various articles of clothing ranging from gowns to lingerie. There room also had various herbs and potions, as well as a couple chest of gold.

Lili grabbed to belts, cloaks, and satchels from the room, before tossing a set to Kal.

”Put these on.” she commanded.

Kal didn't need to be told twice as he hurriedly fastened the belt and satchel to his waist before fattening the cloak around his neck.

Watching the process, Lili nodded approvingly before completing the same actions as her little brother. The only thing that remained was their weapons. Walking over to the rack, she grabbed a small crossbow, a dozen bolts, and an ornate quarterstaff.

Hooking the staff on her belt, she handed the book quiver and crossbow to Kal. ”Because of my skill, we shouldn't run into any monsters. However, it's filled to enter the forest unarmed. You shouldn't need to use it but don't hesitate if you have to.” With a serious look she continued, ”These aren't practice bolts like you've used before, these can kill people. Be careful.”

Kalin accepted the crossbow and books with a little pride in his heart. This was the first time he had been entrusted with a real weapon by his sister. During training they would only use dulled or practice weapons, so this was exciting for him.

He feels like this was his first real step towards becoming an adventurer.
