Chaotic Fantasy Manual, one could cultivate in it to absorb the energy of the world, creating a seed of Primordial Tree inside cultivator's sea of consciousness. It would then convert each and every energy absorbed to chaos energy, which would be used to temper cultivator's physique and soul, before accumulating it in the sea of consciousness of cultivator. Those process would in turn attuned cultivator more to chaos energy, which would increase their capabilities greatly. Be it their soul or body, would be better off than other people who trained in different ways. Because chaos energy was the source of all energy, before chaos energy branched off to those different energies.
Progressively, chaos energy would need to be converted to its higher form, Primordial Chaos energy, when cultivator reached a sufficient basic cultivation. Because, at that point, using only chaos energy could not enhance cultivator further, thus a need of using higher rank of energy for future cultivation. Although, before that, cultivator needed to withstand a Tribulation, before the chaos energy inside them would start turning to Primordial Chaos energy.
In Chaotic Fantasy Manual, there were nine Tribulations that needed to be withstood by its cultivator, to cultivate the Manual to the peak. The first Tribulation appeared when cultivator reached a breakthrough point to reach eleven leaf marks on the seed of Primordial Tree inside their sea of consciousness.
The next Tribulations would continue to appear when cultivator reached a breakthrough point before the twenty-two, thirty-three, fourty-four, fifty-five, sixty-six, seventy-seven, eighty-eight, and ninety-nine leaf marks. Its power would increase progressively at each Tribulations. Of course, each successful breakthrough would mold and temper cultivator's physique and soul greatly, much more than previous cultivation combined, thus made it one of life-changing moment. Which was a successful breakthrough would put cultivator at greater height, while a failure would be their demise.
First Tribulation would only give cultivator a little ability to convert Primordial Chaos energy for cultivation, thus cultivator would only still use impure Primordial Chaos energy to cultivate. Although, at that point of cultivation, cultivator could only handle a little bit of impure Primordial Chaos energy, thus the necessity of slowly acclimate themselves to it first. After passing the Second Tribulation, it would allow cultivator to largely convert Primordial Chaos energy from the world's energy, which was more beneficial to cultivator compared when they were still in First Tribulant stage. While Primordial Chaos energy started to be fully converted, after cultivator passed the Third Tribulation. It was because, at that point, cultivator already largely adapted to Primordial Chaos energy. Thus they could withstand large intake of Primordial Chaos energy for cultivation.
