58 Sike, you have been jinxed! (1/2)
When they had arrived back at Hogwarts, it was the day before classes would resume, meaning, an entire day of unpacking, reuniting with friends, and other such nonsense.
Although most people at this moment just wanted to rest in their own rooms as they try to recall what their last lessons were before classes ended for the holidays in case some professors decide to throw in a surprise test the next day, there would always be people who would create chaos whenever that saw an opportunity.
Such as, the Weasely twins.
”Long time no see!” Fred exclaimed upon seeing Casimir. ”Fancy seeing you on this lovely night!” George continued in a similar tone as his twin. Both boys wore similar grins on their faces and matching green sweaters. The only difference was, one sweater had an F and the other had a G.
”... Nice sweaters. At least I now know how to identify the both of you.” Casimir said in a deadpan tone. ”Oh, and how in the world did you manage to enter the Slytherin common room by the way?”
”Don't mind the letters. Our mum just put it there in case we forget our names.” George tried to explain in a helpful way which was ruined by Fred saying, ”Yeah! We both already know that our names are obviously Gred and Forge!”
Casimir sighed to himself, already giving up all hopes that the two weirdos would be saved. It was too hopeless. ”You haven't answered the other question yet.”
”Oh, that!” Fred turned to look at George who looked back at his brother. Then, they both gave similar mischievous grins towards Casimir. ”That's a secret!” They said synchronously.
Casimir sighed to himself. I should've known.
That night, Casimir spent his time trying to read but was constantly distracted by the two weirdos who kept on pestering him despite him urging them away. In the end, when it was nearly midnight, the Slytherin house prefect ended up spotting the two and directly kicked them out.
The victim of the ordeal, Casimir, was unfortunately unable to study that night and just went to sleep.
...
”Did you not even miss us at all?” Fred asked in a high pitched voice, acting as if he was a female lead in a melodramatic soap opera.
”Not even one bit? You were having fun during your vacation while the two of us were suffering alone in this huge, cold castle where you abandoned us!” George continued, wiping away fake tears.
”Please go away. People are eating breakfast here.” Casimir said coldly as he took a bite of a sandwich, not even giving the two a single glance. Meanwhile, the other students from both the Slytherin and Gryffindor table were giving looks of curiosity towards them, wondering why the notorious duo were pestering a simple Slytherin student.
”This is exactly the best time to discuss plans!” Fred said as both he and his twin shamelessly dragged two chairs and plopped at both sides of Casimir, effectively trapping him between the two of them.
”We scheme over food piping hot with steam!” George said jovially and grabbed a bun as if it were natural.
”I'm sure neither professor McGonagall nor professor Snape would condone your actions, filthy Weaselys.” Draco muttered with a sneer. It seems that he has some sort of grudge against all Weaselys and not just a certain one that was currently glaring at him at the Gryffindor table.
”Bloody hell! What a downer! No wonder you Malfoys have such terrible reputation, ain't that right, George?” Fred said aghast. ”Agreed. They were probably raised not knowing the concept of fun.” George nodded in agreement as both of them looked at Draco in pity.
”Hey! If my family has a terrible reputation, then, Marie's family is a lot worse! They're known as Grindelwald's right hand, you know?!” Draco exclaimed rather loudly, causing the attention of many to shift towards the inconspicuous Casimir who was just feeling relieved moments ago when the twins' attention wasn't on him anymore.
Feeling the many eyes on him, Casimir's eyebrows twitched. It never feels good when the spotlight suddenly shifts towards you, huh?
