Kenny and Mei Chen left the room. Mei Chen was still looking down.

Avoiding Kenny's gaze. She was lagging behind him.

Elia was sipping her morning tea and reading the newspaper when she noticed them coming out.

”Oh, you and you're girlfriend already heading out? Have some breakfast first.”

Elia offered. She heard that Kenny was already awake and had gone to her son's room.

So she wanted to interrogate Kenny about what happened to her daughter-in-law.

”I'm not...”

Mei Chen wanted to protest but Kenny interrupted her.

”I'm sorry madam Lee, we'll have to get going cause she have a scheduled check up for today.”

Kenny politely declined the offer. Mei Chen looked at him dubiously.

”I do?....”

She inquired. Kenny held her hand tightly signaling her to cooperate with him.

”Is that so? Can't be helped then..”

Seeing Kenny wouldn't step into her trap, she let them go.

”Oh, little Mei. If you ever change your mind about your stardom don't forget to look for me.”

She gave them an amiable smile and bid them goodbye.

On the way to the parking lot Mei Chen wiggled her hand free from Kenny.

”Why didn't you let me clarify that we're not in a relationship...”
