Everyone applauded after Mei Chen finished her song.

Kenny was on the side looking in admiration at Mei Chen.

His heart was beating so fast after he hears her sing.

He thought she couldn't surprise him more but turns out he's wrong.

He knew she's well versed with playung the guitar but he's not aware that she could actually sing.

'She never seize to amaze me.'

He mumbles as he walked towards the stage to help Mei Chen go down.

Then he hear one of the male band members talking to little Mei.

”Wow, you have such an amazing voice. And good at guitars. D'you want to join our band? Here's our business card.”

The man said, he was the violinist who accompanied Mei Chen in her little production earlier.

He easily had a crush on the pretty and talented little Mei when he heard her angelic singing voice.

Mei Chen was about to get the card when a strong hand blocked the card and shielded Mei Chen.

'I'm sorry, she's busy.'

Kenny said and bend down towards Mei Chen who was clearly not pleased with Kenny's interruption.

”Little Mei lets go down and eat.”

Then he wheeled her down leaving the violinst dumbfounded and hanging.

The truth is Mei Chen just wanted to accept the card out of politeness but she wasn't really thinking of joining them.

But she got irritated with Kenny acting like her guardian.

” Why d'you do that for?”

”What do you mean?”

”...”

Kenny feigned ignorance and cheerfully pushed Mei Chen towards Tia and Ian.

”Mei-Mei, thank you. You're so talented.”

Tia exclaimed as she hugged Mei Chen. Mei Chen immediately blushed.

”You're good. Thanks for your wishes.”

Ian coldly said. Tia, Kenny and Mei Chen were all surprised hearing him giving compliments.

Mei Chen blushed even more upon hearing her domineering boss praising her.
