Tia asked him. He looked at the white tightly shut ICU door.

”The doctor told me that she's already out of critical condition but she's still unconscious.”

Kenny tearfully said. The doctor told him that if he was a little late Mei Chen would've die from smoke inhalation.

”Kenny, you should go get some rest first. We'll look out for her.”

Tia suggested but Kenny didn't move. He stayed rooted at his seat.

”I want to be the first one she sees when she wakes up.”

Kenny stubbornly said. Tia didn't know what exactly happened but she kinda have the gist of the situation.

”We'll get you a blanket then.”

She said then she looked at Ian. She pity how Kenny looked.

She knew Ian must've looked like him when she's the one inside the ICU before.

The look of someone who's loved one was on death's door.

Ian and his parents all left Kenny and they went to talk to the attending physician of Mei Chen.

The doctor explained the details of Mei Chen's situation.

He told them that Mei Chen will be out of ICU if all her vitals were stable after 6 hours.

For now she's still under observation.
