Sun Reed walked out of the door and ended up on a familiar street.
About 10 meters ahead was his home. The light was on and he saw his mother inside the living room through the window.
A brief moment later, he entered his home and his mother rushed towards him with a worrying face.
”Sun, where have you been? It's dangerous outside at this hour!”, she said with a serious tone, but let out a sigh relief.
Sun explained everything to her about the fight with William and Lady Minerva.
Sun's mother was caring and nice.
Despite her blonde hair starting to turn white, she looked as young as thirty.
Sun was always honest towards his mother. He realized what she's going through made his life comfortable. It was hard for a human woman at her age to find a job. She came here as a foreigner and didn't have any connections to the people living here. Clara Reed worked hard to make living, but it was still not good enough for her Son.
She knew, that Sun was extraordinary and very smart. Therefore, she wanted the best for him.
This was also one of the reasons she chose to live here.
The average magic school in Aseid is ten times better than Stanford or Tsinghua in the human world.
As Sun told her about the events, she was shocked and very happy.
Sun has finally got the education he deserved. It was still shocking, that his life took such a strong turn and made her believe it was fate.
She suffered a lot after the strange death of her husband. She tried to be strong and raised Sun Reed as a single parent even though she never told Sun about the death of his father. She just said it was an ”accident”.
Hearing about the turns made her fulfilled and proud
”Sun, I'm so happy for you. You can finally live a better life and learn more about magic.”, she answered.
The Spring gang was very influential in this area, so that they can give Sun protection. Sun's safety is what she worried since she came here.
