It had taken some convincing, but the free-spirited Mandalorian, Sabine Wren had chosen to join the Imperium. So as she went over to the machine which held the Jedi Knight Ezra Bridger in Stasis, she remained in her Imperium Pilot Uniform. It was similar to his own, with the pauldrons and neck guard decorated with the Imperium Emblem and the rank insignia of Cadet.
Her big brown eyes seemed to glow as she watched over him. It wasn't because she was in love with him, it wasn't because she had those kind of feelings for him. She had finally found him, a lost friend who had she thought dead.
Tobias Rune stood beside Ahsoka Tano who remained quiet watching her friend, watch over another. He smiled slightly as it seemed Tano wasn't letting any tense feelings towards the Imperials control her temperament. He so wanted to test her limits though.
”Why are you helping us?”
The Imperium was currently an enigmatic group of Imperial Warships. There was little known about them, but intelligence was slowly being leaked out by the New Republic High Command. Leia Organa, Skywalker, Lando, Han and Mon Mothma knew of their existence.
The only reason they found their way to that academy was because of the allure of the force, it gave them a path to him.
”The New Order isn't our Order. The Jedi aren't my enemies, but the New Republic won't be able to stand alone to protect an entire Galaxy. It's likely they'll demilitarize themselves, like the previous Galactic Republic prior to the Clone Wars.” Tobias stated as he looked over at the girl who was standing beside him. She was older than him by more than ten years and yet he knew her entire life story.
”You have my condolences,” Tobias spoke up as he turned to take his eyes back onto Sabine Wren.
Tano could feel that he was sincere about the idea of defending the Galaxy, but she didn't know what from. When he had suddenly gave her his condolences, she raised a brow and looked at him.
”Your friend, Plo Koon. The one who found you on Shili,” He gave her a soft smile, but didn't break his gaze from Sabine who was talking to her suspended friend. He couldn't really make out what she was saying, but he could see that she was smiling while doing so. So this was what it would be like should you come across someone you haven't talked to in years?
Tano's eyes widened slightly and nodded, smiling a bit hearing this. An imperial giving her his regards, it was strange. Yet he wasn't like the ones who were around during the founding of the Empire. He was born only a year prior.
That's when Tano felt the fondness he was feeling towards Sabine Wren through the force. They weren't necessarily strong feelings, they were just strong enough to ease out from beneath his ironclad shell.
She couldn't feel his thoughts, he was completely blocking her off. Yet that warmth that came with the fondness couldn't be misunderstood. She could remember her feelings for the young senator of Onderon back during the time of the Galactic Republic, she smiled slightly remembering the kiss.
”But why are you helping us individually?” Ahsoka rephrased her previous question as she was more curious of why he was letting this bit of emotion out. Was he going to be truthful?
