Chapter 2: Story 2 (2/2)
Before Mr. Zhang starts to speak, Bo Yu gives the cold shoulder and says with poker-faced attitude, “You are only my manager. I know about your ability, but I have a better understanding of my strength.”
Mr. Zhang doesn’t know how to reply at once.
If it were two years ago, Mr. Zhang would obey Bo Yu.
But now, Mr. Zhang has brought three stars to prominence. So, he is a little arrogant, keeping a straight face again and again.
“I can stage a comeback once, and there will be the second time.” Bo Yu stands up, prepares to audition with the script in his hand and warns him, “I’m not new. Don’t forget that.”
Bo Yu is not new in entertainment circles. So, he knows clearly their mutual restraint relationship of interest between Mr. Zhang and him.
So, Bo Yu doesn’t have to bear with Mr. Zhang again and again.
Mr. Zhang looks pale, and his veins angrily stand out.
Bo Yu turns to walk away.
Bo Yu is no longer the first-class male star two years ago, and Mr. Zhang is not the manager who has made only one popular star Bo Yu.
Entertainment is never short of topics. Bo Yu has not been active on the screen for two years. It is uncertain whether the audience who only cares about stars’ appearances still remember him or not.
Bo Yu takes out his phone from the pocket, opens the Weibo account that has not been logged in for a long time, takes a picture of the outside through the window, and uploads it.

After sending a new Weibo message, Bo Yu turns off his phone without reading the fans’ comments and leaves the agency with the script in his hand.
Mr. Zhang gives him two scripts just now, one is the popular Xianxia TV series in this year, and the other is the urban male TV series.
Bo Yu prefers the latter.
The former is very popular this year. All kinds of Xianxia ancient costume TV series come out and frequently occur on the hot list. Although the audience ratings must be very high, the audience will have aesthetic fatigue someday. In addition, the assigned supporting role is common and unremarkable, about the depravation of the pure young brother.
The latter is quite innovative. Although Bo Yu plays only the third male role, he is very interested in it.
As the saying goes, three women can play a drama. But three men together can also make a different play.
The male protagonist is a young antique tutor, always saying archaism such as using “literary jargon” and saying “It is improper for men and women to touch each other’s hand in passing objects.” The cute and interesting protagonist will be very popular as long as the actor has the acting skill.
The first supporting male role is a quack. He doesn’t graduate after studying veterinary courses for three years, not even getting a certificate. After one year’s re-study, he chooses to major in surgery, but his medical skills are insufficient.
The second supporting male role is a tech geek and a new daddy. He behaves perfectly in work and household duties.
Bo Yu auditions for the role of the tech geek. The difficulty doesn’t lie in playing the role of it, but in highlighting his own craft.
Two years ago, the focus of Bo Yu’s career is the film instead of TV series. He is limited for fans. His representative of TV series is the detective genre at the age of 20. So, it is good enough to audition for the second supporting male role right now.
In fact, compared with the film, TV series including dozens of seasons is easier to attract the attention of the audience. So, Bo Yu intends to shift the focus of his recent work to the TV series.
And this urban male TV series is the start of Bo Yu’s comeback.
When Bo Yu comes to the film crew, he finds that there are still many people for audition. Bo Yu looks down, takes the script to the corner and reads it carefully.
The weather turns cold. Bo Yu wears low-key attire, with a mask and sunglasses. So, nobody notices that he is Bo Yu for a while.
“Mr. Bo.” The assistant with glasses trots up and gasps, “The director says that you can have your audition in the next door and there’s no need to queue up.”
Even though Bo Yu has not been active in films for two years and his popularity declines, he cannot be treated casually by the unknown film crew.
Smiling at the assistant, Bo Yu stands up and follows him.
“My God, Bo Yu is here for audition, too?”
“Duh, so what? We’re no worse than him.” A third-class male star looks surly and nervous. He is worried that Bo Yu may have the audition for the same role with him.
“If I know it, I will ask Bo Yu to take a photo with me.” Someone else sighs for pity.
Bo Yu pushes the door open and finds that there are some unfamiliar directors and male stars sitting in it. Bo Yu hides his doubts and says with a smile, “Hello, I am Bo Yu.”
Director Wang glances at Bo Yu, nods without words, and turns his head to look at a new actor and points at him, “You act a part please.”
Bo Yu finds a seat to sit down and looks secretly at the three people who sits next to him up and down.
Ran Fei knows that Bo Yu hasn’t recognized himself, gritting his teeth and volunteers, “Hello, my predecessor.”
“You are?” Bo Yu puts down the script and looks at Ran Fei.
Ran Fei laughs, “Hi, senior, my name is Ran Fei. I’ve just signed a contract with Tingfeng Agency this year. My manager tells me I have the audition today. Unexpectedly, I run into you by chance. What a coincidence!”
The smile on Bo Yu’s face deepens, “It’s really a coincidence.”
Ran Fei repeatedly calls him senior, that is to satirize him that he is not as good as a new actor. As the saying goes, one who knows nothing fears nothing.
Perhaps because of Bo Yu’s household gentle image of films, even new actors dare to insult him.
However, Ran Fei dares to insult him in the face of the director in public, which proves that he has a low EQ.
Bo Yu disregards him and concentrates on the script.
It’s better to think about how to play the role rather than meaningless arguments.
Ran Fei has no idea that Bo Yu disregards him completely. He looks angry at once but dares not lose his temper in front of the director once again, so he has no choice but bite the bullet.
“Ran Fei.” Director Wang takes a look at him and says calmly, “Come here and act your part.”
Ran Fei nods, stands up calmly, bows in the direction of the director and the writer, and closes his eyes. When he opens his eyes, he is in the character.
Bo Yu puts down the script and looks at him with interest.
