34 Infiltration 3/3 (1/2)
”Just where can she be?” Reed thought to himself. Since Reed had no knowledge of the floor plan of the warehouse he had no idea where Lillian could be in the warehouse. After few seconds of thinking Reed knew what to do. Since he didn't know where Lillian was held, he might as well 'ask' someone who does. Reed knew that he wasn't alone in the warehouse so all he had to do was just find someone.
After a minute of walking, Reed was able to find two guards walking down one of the aisles of the warehouse. It would seem that they were patrolling. The two of them were clueless of Reed who was following them. In long strides Reed got closer to them. Each step he took were as light as a feather, barely making the tiniest of sound.
At this moment, Reed was directly behind them and the two guards were still completely oblivious ofReed behind them. Reed then chopped the neck of one of the unsuspecting guards, knocking him that and then in a lighting quick movement, Reed covered the mouth of the other guard with his left hand and used his right hand to put a knife to the guards throat.
The guard that was being held by Reed didn't know what just happened. Just a second ago he was patrolling the warehouse with his partner and the next he was being held hostage with a knife to the throat, he couldn't comprehend what just happened one bit.
”I'm going remove my hand from your mouth in a second, but let me tell you this now. The moment you call for help, I'll slice your throat. Do you understand? Nod your once head if you do.” Reed whispered to the guard in a bone chilling voice.
Feeling the cold metal blade near his throat, the guard felt an immense amount of dread course through body. The guard slowly nodded his head slowly. He knew if he didn't listen to Reed, his throat would get sliced before he even knew it.
Reed slowly removed the hand he used to cover the mouth of the guard, ” Where do you keep your hostages? If you don't give me the answer I want.” Reed slid the knife on the guards throat, causing it to slightly bleed. ”I'll slice your throat open.”
The guard feared death so hearing that he would die unless he told the location of the hostage, the guard immediately gave in to Reed's demands. ”The hostages are being held on the south side of the warehouse, inside room 28.”
”I'm gonna let you go now. However, you're going to take me to the hostages as I'm in no mood to go on a treasure hunt, and do remember that any move you do to call for help. I'll immediately end your life” Reed released his hold but kept a knife to the back of the guards back. ”Show me the way.”
The guard nodded and slowly began to walk to room 28.
As the guard led the way to room 28, Reed immediately noticed the lifeless hall he was walking through and the vacant rooms he passed by. ”Why is this warehouse so empty?” Reed questioned the guard
The guard replied has he walked, ” That's because the only people in this warehouse are me, you, my partner who you knocked out and four other guards on patrol”
Hearing that there was only six people that guarded the warehouse, Reed couldn't help but be surprised. To think that there would only be six people guarding all those weapons. However, after a few moments of thinking, Reed understood why. The reason why there was so many guards on the outside of the warehouse was to create an illusion. The illusion, being that the warehouse was extremely guarded on the inside as it was on the outside. It was an extremely clever idea, even Reed couldn't help but silently compliment the person who thought of that idea.
After a minute of walking, the guard finally stopped before room 28. ” This is where the hostages are held in.”
”Open it,” Reed commanded the guard. The guard did what he was told and opened the door and entered the room with Reed behind him. The room was dark as there were no windows connecting the room to the outside so Reed didn't see anything right away. But after a few seconds of his eyes getting used to the darkness he could see groups of people on the opposite side of the room. Everyone one of them had their hands tied behind their backs. They're body looked frail and their eye's were lifeless, and upon closer inspection, bruises could be seen on their body.
Reed could immediately tell that the hostages were treated terribly. ”Is that all of them,” Reed's voice became even colder as killing intent exuded from his body, causing the guard's bone to chill.
”Yes, this is the only room we use to hold the hostages in,” Knowing that the reaper was right behind him, the guard didn't dare to lie or hesitate for a single second before answering.
”Good,” Reed then struck the back of the guards neck with the handle of his knife, knocking the guard out. his body slowly collapsed onto the ground. Reed closed the door behind him.
”Aily, you're gonna need to figure out how to procure more escape vehicles,” Reed called out to Aily, using his ear piece.
”What do you mean more escape vehicles?” Aily asked as she sat in a car play a game on her phone.
”Lillian Myers wasn't the only person who was being held hostage in this warehouse. From what I can see...” Reed began to count all the hostages in the room. ” There are ten hostages including Lillian Myers ”
”So all I need to do is steal another car, ok.”
