31 Let It Begin (1/2)

On the outskirts of Nova City, in a building not that far from the warehouse where Lillian who was Conor's wife was supposed to be. Reed, Aily and a group of shade operatives were sitting around a

wooden table. The leader of the shade operative were reporting on what they documented over the three hours of surveillance.

The person who was in charge of the surveillance team watching the warehouse was a man namedTyler West. He was one of the first few people who Reed recruited outside of the Gregory Orphanage. How Reed and Tyler met was similarly close to how Reed met Aily. Their stories of course were different, Tyler was a former soldier of the Aneis Military. The reason he wasn't part of the Aneis Military anymore was due to him being medically discharged from the Aneis Military.

After leaving the army, Tyler had a hard time finding a place to work. The places he could work gave him a negligible amount of income, barely allowing him to make a living. It was because of that negligible income Tyler had to live on the streets, and it was because of that Tyler met Reed.

Tyler was twenty-three years old male with brown hair and young looking face with no scar on it. For clothing he was wearing a white shirt along with a black coat on him and was wearing cargo pants. He also had a traditional silver watch on his left hand.

”Boss, during out three hours of watching over the warehouse, the only interesting thing that happened over the duration of three hours was a group of trunks transporting something to the warehouse. We did attempt to figure out what but security was too tight so we had to abort the mission. The only thing we could do in the end was watch what being brought into the warehouse.”

Reed who was sitting across from Tyler was tapping his right hand's finger on the table who was attentively listening to Tyler said when Tyler finished speaking, ” Were you able to get images of the cargo that was being brought into the warehouse?”

”Yes we did,” Tyler slid a portfolio towards Reed. Reed opened up the portfolio which were filled with pictures and looked at them. On the pictures were people carrying wooden boxes of various sizes, small, medium, large, you name it. Seeing these wooden boxes made Reed curious of what those wooden boxes were carrying. Just what did the warehouse hold to justify the need to use such a high amount of manpower to protect the warehouse.

Reed had many ideas of what the boxes could hold, but they were ideas in the end. He would only know whats inside the warehouse until he sees it for himself. Placing back the photos in the portfolio and looked up at Tyler. ” How many people are in your team and what are you guys equipped with?”

”I have six people including myself and we're all equipped with a combat knife and a pistol. However boss if your thinking of infiltrating the warehouse, I think you should reconsider it. The people that are patrolling the outside of the warehouse total to thirty-four people, and that's just the outside! Who knows how many more people are inside the warehouse, maybe ten or twenty more people are inside the warehouse. In total there would almost be sixty guards protecting the warehouse and not to forget that you want us to infiltrate in broad daylight, increasing the chances of us being caught. Boss please reconsider.”

Knowing that Reed was thinking of infiltrating the warehouse, Tyler wanted Reed to reconsider as he had no faith in such a operation having a single chance of success. It was not because he didn't have faith in the team or didn't underestimate Reed's or Aily's abilities as he experienced their abilities first hand when he first met them several years back. It was because the operation itself was thought of on the spot with no sort of planning at all.

Reed of course understood why Tyler was against he plan on infiltrating the warehouse in broad daylight as anyone with a brain would be against it. However Reed had years of experience under his belt when it came to daylight infiltration with people amounting to one-hundred or more people.

Reed looked at Tyler with his eyes pure of confidence, ” You guys won't be infiltrating the place, I will.”
