38 On the way to Mist Island (2/2)

”Sorry about being late, let's hit the road.” Naruto apologized since he arrived an hour late.

”I'd be pissed if I was not used to Kakashi's habits. Let's hit the road Naruto. How about we have a race while we're at it.” Guy said flashing his signature smile.

”Last on to reach the gate pays for the lunch today,” Naruto said and dashed forward without letting them reply.

Kakashi wanted to refuse but Guy had already launched himself forward chasing after Naruto and Kakashi could only sigh and chase after them. The trio left behind a trail of dust behind them as they jumped and slid through the neighborhood scaring many people in the process.

While Naruto was probably the fastest man alive if he activated his Sage mood and KCM but in his base form he was completely outdone by Might Guy and Kakashi. Halfway to the village gate Guy and Kakashi had already left Naruto behind but Naruto displayed a smirk and disappeared in mid-air.

While Guy and Kakashi were counting their wins and losses they stopped just before the village gate as they looked at Naruto was playing with the three-pointed Kunai in his hand.

”I guess lunch is on Guy then,” Kakashi said as he was the first one to recover from the shock seeing the kunai and crossed the gate leaving Guy in his daze.

”You...I never thought there would be another person who can use Flying Thunder God Jutsu” Guy said as he also recognized the kunai. He had seen the bingo book but thought it was a bit over-exaggerated.

Seeing Naruto on the finish line maybe Naruto was the new beast of his generation. The trio moved through the vast lands and with Guy in the party the journey was never boring.

The trio took two days to arrive at one of the port city of Land of Fire. They would need to take a ship towards the Land of Water. It was a week journey and also week-long torture for Guy as he quickly became seasick.

Land of Water was a country made up of many islands small and big. Naruto and his gang were headed towards Mist Island one of the smaller islands from the country near the Nagi island. Naruto guessed Utakata was trying to escape towards Nagi Island away from Kirigakure.

Like the name suggested Mist Island had a layer of mist surrounding it limiting the vision up to a certain distance. The mist wasn't overbearing but it was enough to give a creepy vibe to any new visitors.

”Let's rest for today and wait for Guy to recover. We'll go for Six tails tomorrow.” Naruto said looking at Guy who was being carried by Kakashi on his back.

The island wasn't big but wasn't small enough to be explored in a single day either. The main problem was the mist as the deeper one went the denser the mist would get.

But all Naruto had to do was enter sage mode and look for the largest Chakra signal and he'd find Utakata in no time. Naruto decided to continue the search tomorrow as he was also exhausted by the week-long journey in the sea.
