22 First Mission (1/2)
A week after the attack and the Village was slowly recovering and the citizens were slowly starting to move on from the grievous incident. Among these people was Naruto as his request to join as a special Jounin was finally accepted. He could accept rank B and higher missions and travel around the Elemental Nations while doing them.
Naruto was not doing the missions to protect the village but to earn himself some money and enjoy the high adrenaline life while he was at it. His greed for power was contained and though he didn't have the same amount of drive for gaining more power, he did need a way to release what he already had.
Besides, there was no point in staying cooped up in a single village for the rest of the life and if he wanted to move out of the village then he needed to have a general knowledge of the world. Doing missions outside of the village was a great way to gain worldly experience.
But his biggest concern was Kaguya as well as the changes he brought to the world. Naruto could go find Orochimaru's base and destroy everything including Kabuto and Orochimaru's revival DNA thus destroying half the army of 4th Ninja war and potentially stop Madara's revival and also stopping Kaguya's revival at the same time.
There was also Akatsuki, Naruto would need to fight them sometimes later in the years just because he was Kurama's host. And finally, there was Danzo the hidden snake of the village. Naruto got a headache just thinking about the foes he would face and deal with small or big.
”Forget it, my existence alone has created ripples in the timeline, it doesn't really matter if I create some high waves while I'm at it,” Naruto said to himself as he thought about his future actions. Naruto was not good with planning out events for future, he was more of an 'I'll deal with it when it's on my face type of guy'.
But since he needed to plan out his future actions then he naturally had to start with the tailed beast and get them into his affiliation or at least stop them from falling into Akatsuki's hand. The first one to fall in the hands of Akatsuki would be Han(Kokuo) and the time of his capture was not really specified nor was where the place where he was captured.
And other movements wouldn't begin until another 2 years so he wanted to experience the world and find out the location of other tailed beasts in the process. ”One step at a time” as he called it. Doing everything at the same time would not be as productive as doing one thing at a time.
”Naruto, are you sure you want to take missions as Jounin? I know you have grown strong and you have Nine-tails to protect you but why don't you wait a few years before you move out of the village for the experience.” Yugao said in worry as she watched Naruto preparing his equipment for his new mission.
”Its okay sister Yugao, it's only a C-rank mission and I'll be gone for only 2 weeks. Besides, there is still time to join me Sister Yugao. Let's travel together for a while, take a break from your school.” Naruto said looking at Yugao with an expectant gaze.
He didn't want to travel this early but seeing the description of the mission, he didn't really want to miss it. The mission was to protect an Actress for few weeks during their filming and the destination was Land of the Snow.
The mission was supposed to be given to a team of Genin but Jiraiya wasn't willing to give higher level mission just because Naruto asked for it. But Naruto accepted it happily seeing it was the mission was from the first Naruto movie.
”No, I'd love to join you but there are few students who lost their parents in the attack. I can't raise them but I don't want them to suffer the same thing as you did. I am thinking of creating an orphanage to help the affected children and I'm talking with a few of my colleagues regarding this matter.” Yugao said with a sad voice. Old create disputes with their politics, young fight under their order and its children who lose the most during the conflict.
