Recalling the upcoming Imperial Marriage, XuanRong's eyes became unfocused.

XuanRong exhaled and shook her head. She raised her hand and closed the window. She had already sent YuYing away to rest. Walking towards the bed, XuanRong blew the candle before she climbed and laid down, covering herself with a thick blanket.

XuanRong was already half asleep when she noticed someone laid down beside her. She went stiff when she felt a strong arm encircled her waist, pulling her closer. XuanRong felt alarmed only for a second before she was calmed by a sweet fragrance of lotus. A very familiar scent assaulted her nostrils, giving a soothing feeling. She could feel the heat coming from that person's body, giving her a sense of protection. XuanRong subconsciously relaxed, revealing a very contented expression.

Thinking that everything was a dream, XuanRong allowed herself to enjoy being cuddled by her benefactor and slowly fell asleep once again.

Xu Fei Yi stared at the woman in his embrace. She was wearing a thin inner garment. Her hair was scattered messily on the bed while she slept peacefully inside his arms. She looked serene and satisfied, as if she was greatly pleased being held inside his embrace.

Xu Fei Yi raised his hand and touched XuanRong's hair that was covering her face, slowly fixing it on her ears. Due to his movement, XuanRong stirred, subconsciously rubbing her face on his chest, making Xu Fei Yi freeze. His eyes darkened as he stared at XuanRong who was similar to a cute but dumb little sheep, waiting to be slaughtered.

”RongRong, are you trying to seduce me?” Xu Fei Yi whispered. He pulled XuanRong closer, pinning him on his body as if he wanted to fuse her inside of him. Xu Fei Yi lowered his head on XuanRong's neck and inhaled her scent.

”Ahh..”

Xu Fei Yi exhaled exaggeratedly, as if he was intoxicated by XuanRong's fragrance. It had been a while since the last time he touched her and smelled her scent. He wanted to tell her everything but after what happened during XU Ji Mo's birthday banquet, Xu Fei Yi knew that telling her the truth had to wait. His subordinate harmed her grandfather. Once she finds out, he was afraid that she would ignore him. aside from that, he did not want to drag his RongRong in his problem. Although the Imperial Family was only an ant in his eyes, he could not reveal himself due to his 'illness'. Xu Ji Mo was on guard, a little mishap would result to unimaginable consequences. Thus, he could only wait to find a cure to his illness before he could reveal everything to her and protect her with his life.

While thinking, Xu Fei Yi indulged himself, feeling the softness of XuanRong's body. Minutes later, Xu Fei Yi no longer felt contented. He wanted to feel XuanRong more. Little by little, Xu Fei Yi's hand that was on XuanRong's waist moved, slowly creeping inside XuanRong's inner garment.

A perverted thought suddenly crossed inside Xu Fei Yi's mind. Since RongRong was already his, tasting a bit of her sweetness would not be considered as an assault, right?

Using a lame excuse, Xu Fei Yi justified himself. He did not feel any shame and continued his perverted actions. If Mu Qing could see the situation right now, for sure, he would look up in the sky and cry pitifully, blaming himself for not properly teaching Xu Fei Yi.

When Xu Fei Yi felt the softness of XuanRong's bare skin, he suddenly felt that his body was full of vitality. All the fatigue and tiredness he felt in the past few days when he did not see her slowly vanished. His palm that was touching her bare waist started to move upward, repeatedly rubbing XuanRong's back.

Sensing something hot was moving at her back, XuanRong grimaced and uttered a soft resistance.

”Nghn..”

Xu Fei Yi's movement stopped. He pulled his hand away from XuanRong's back and fixed her inner garments. He knew that he had to stop before he could no longer control himself. Besides, he only had to wait for a couple of days before RongRong would be his.

He kissed her head and slowly closed his eyes to sleep.

Little did Xu fei Yi know, his expectation was different from reality.

When XuanRong woke up, she noticed that her sleep was more peaceful than before. The nightmare that kept on haunting her for years did not appear. She felt refreshed and full of energy.

'Ah?'

XuanRong quizzically blinked repeatedly, trying to find out why she was brimming with positive energy. Not able to think of any reason, XuanRong shrugged and stopped thinking.
