Chapter 175 - Crystals (1/2)
”Hi,” Evan answered briefly and walked past the girl.
Sana followed him and kept talking: ”Wait! What's the matter with you? It feels like you're dying.”
Without stopping, Evan replied, ”I just got in a fight in the arena with a strong opponent. I missed a few punches and lost, that's all. What do you care?”
”You say that's a few punches ?!” Sana said indignantly.
Evan really was in awful condition. Blood was dripping from the corners of his mouth, and his broken arm dangled like a sack of bones. Evan wrinkled with every step, which clearly indicated that his entire body was covered in numerous bruises.
Unlike Evan, Sana rarely got into fights. Of course, Evan wasn't that kind of person either, but it could be hardly believed given recent events.
”And where are you going with such wounds?” Said the girl.
Evan waved a hand and said: ”To the infirmary, don't you see? Don't bother me! Go, where you're going.”
Sana frowned at that rude reply, nevertheless kept following him.
As Evan walked to the infirmary for the next few minutes, she was beside him, constantly saying something. Evan tried to swat her away like an annoying fly, but he couldn't do anything. He already wanted to get to the infirmary as soon as possible, not just to heal his wounds but to have some peace and quiet finally.
Click.
<Finally>. Thought Evan as he opened the door to one of the infirmaries. He wanted to disengage himself from Sana and breathe a sigh of relief, but...
Before he could fully open the door, Sana was the first to burst in and immediately began saying something to the magician in charge of the infirmary. She pointed at the wounded Evan, staring at him with a strange look.
<Maybe I shouldn't have gone to that clearing then... I was cured then, but I'm probably going to die now ...>. Evan thought to himself as he watched this scene.
A few minutes later, Sana came to Evan and gave him a pill and a potion.
”This pill will heal your bones, and the potion will greatly speed up your regeneration,” Sana said seriously.
Evan nodded and quickly swallowed the pill and the potion. It was a pretty expensive medication so that Evan would be completely healed in a few hours.
Evan and Sana spent the next half hour talking about various topics. Evan wasn't particularly in the mood to talk to anyone, but he couldn't help it.
”I'm off, and You don't need to thank me for my help. It's my duty as your senior!” Sana said proudly and quickly left the room.
Evan grinned and just waited for his wounds to fully heal. All the while, Evan thought about what had happened to him lately. He remembered the events in the ”Half-Dead Forest,” as well as his fight with Freya. Those had been dangerous moments in his life, but they had helped him move on.
