Chapter 124 - A Shield And A Hammer (1/2)

With a concerted effort, one of the five Ogres was defeated, but the others were already close by.

<We`ve managed to kill one Ogre with such difficulty, but we need to take out four more, there are only ten of us, it will be quite difficult>. Evan thought to himself as he looked at the approaching monsters and the other participants.

Some of them were very strong like Chloe, Lars and Enni, while others couldn't even kill one Ogre together.

While Evan was thinking, one of the Ogres had already got to the ice platform and hit it with his massive club with all its might. The platform broke into two more pieces, separating the participants from each other.

On the right side, there was the weaker half of their group, and on the left one - Evan, Chloe, Lars, and Enni.

<We need to quickly deal with this Ogre and attack the rest of the group. We can't let the other members get knocked out of the ordeal ahead of time. Thought Evan watching as another Ogre with a big sword attacked the people on the right.

Whoosh.

Without hesitation, Evan quickly ran toward the Ogre with the club. He was quickly followed by the others. Chloe and Lars attacked Ogre's left arm. Evan, on the other hand, attacked the right where the monster held its weapon.

Whoosh.

Chloe's big sword was covered in a thick layer of stone, and she attacked the Ogre with all her might. It was very large, so the girl decided to hit not on its hand, but fingers. She couldn't cut them off, but given the weight of her sword, breaking them wouldn't be difficult.

Bam.

The stone sword collapsed on Ogre's fingers and immediately a loud cracking sound was heard. As Chloe expected, her attack was strong enough to break them. The Ogre instantly roared and attacked the girl furiously.

It was about to crush her with a club strike. But just as the monster swung it, he felt his weapon become incredibly light, as if it hadn't been there at all.

When Ogre turned around, it saw a terrible sight. Three of his fingers had been severed in the middle of the phalanx, and there was a thick layer of ice where the cut had been made. Naturally, it was impossible to hold such a large club with just two fingers.

The Ogre's weapon fell into the water, and at the same moment, there was a deafening explosion next to its left hand.

Lars cast - ”Blast of the Edge” and a cube of blast energy appeared in his hand instantly. Lars threw it to the monster's hand and it was torn apart. In just a few attacks, the Ogre was left unarmed and with serious arm damage. This trio was too strong for this monster and there was nothing it could do about it.

Whoosh.

The monster was about to run away and hide behind the other Ogres, but as soon as it thought about it, a fist of fire came crashing down on its head. The red-hot knuckles burned through the monster's skin.

Whoosh.

Enni did a somersault in the air and kicked Ogre in the head with all her might. That incredible blow was the last for the Ogre.

Its huge carcass fell into the water and slowly sank to the bottom. The waves parted from it, pushing parts of the ice platforms farther apart.

<Why do I feel like this girl`s got stronger? If her punches had been as powerful in the tournament, she would have easily beaten Katlyn. It's no surprise though, that's why she's here and not that girl from the Erden Family>.

Evan was surprised by Enni's strength and speed. She had been the first to be able to last ten seconds, and not because of luck, but because her skills were at a very good level.
