Chapter 82 - Undead Troll (2/2)

A town often becomes a ghost town because the economic activity that supported it (usually industrial or agricultural) has failed, or due to natural or human-caused disasters such as floods, prolonged droughts, government actions, uncontrolled lawlessness, war, pollution, or nuclear disasters.

The term can sometimes refer to cities, towns, and neighborhoods that are still populated, but significantly less so than in past years; for example, those affected by high levels of unemployment and dereliction.

Jomel knew that factors leading to the abandonment of towns include depleted natural resources, economic activity shifting elsewhere, railroads and roads bypassing or no longer accessing the town, human intervention, disasters, massacres, wars, and the shifting of politics or fall of empires.

A town can also be abandoned when it is part of an exclusion zone due to natural or man-made causes.

But this place feels it was ravaged, not a natural occurrence created by humans.

He landed on a top of a house, he plans to jump from roof to roof. It is his thought that this is much safer here than any place.

No dead bodies are roaming or undead-like things that always appear during an apocalypse. It has nothing, only skeletal remains that are scattered around the town, but besides that, using his Precognition ability, there is none.

His mind wandered somewhere else...

He now understands what is it like, when a Stone Soul-Galaxy was abandoned due to the Owner or Tamer's passing. It won't be protected anymore, such a place would be the result, humans or all inhabitants will be corrupted by negative energy.

But he snapped back to reality, it is his fault he shouldn't let his guard down or it will be the reason for his downfall.

Speaking of negative energy, Jomel can surprisingly feel them. It's like his stomach is leading him to them.

Is it Motus Stomach..?

SVOOOSHH!

SVOOOSHH!

Jomel is curious, so with careful thought, he decided to follow his instincts and jumps from buildings to buildings.

But he didn't know where to go, is he gonna go to the bigger ones or the smaller ones.

He can feel it, a dark mass of negative energy, it was spiraling into the air.

He is near, he decided he would go to the smaller one first.

In the distance, he saw...

He saw an undead troll.

The peculiar physiology of Trolls makes them incredibly difficult to kill, their flesh re-knitting any wound and their thick, glutinous blood almost reluctant to leave their bodies.

Resurrecting them as zombies has the unusual side effect of improving their general level of intelligence, though why this should be so is a matter of some debate. Some scholars suggest that the regenerative abilities of Troll-kind are somehow inhibitive of higher brain function, while others posit that it is simply.

This is a Rare Soul-Beast Strength due to the strength he can feel.

He can defeat this but he is sure that he would need to put up an effort. Is he going to attack and eat it? The troll is surely a Spirit-Type of Soul-Beast while it is Also an evil-Type.

Should he?

Suddenly his eyes flash with red light.
