He knew that Anubis is not an evil God, it is said that Anubis is an important Go that guides Souls to the afterlife.

If he was on the earth and he was offered some kind of deal that he would go to the moon for free, and he was assured that will take care of his safety.
Even if he was rich, he will accept the offer leaving everything behind.

He knows to accept death if it was time to die, he will accept it.
If he was defeated then he will accept it.
But while he is alive, before he accepts all of that, he must first find something that can make sure of the chance of survival.
To survive there are more chances of going to wonderful places.
That is the path of brave he plans on going.
