Chapter 9：Red planet 2 (1/2)
He arrived at the area, rubbles of what seemed to be houses and buildings festered the ground, some few houses stood but in tatters, no signs of living beings around as if their existence vanished long time ago.
”No food or water, speaking of which I'm not even hungry of thirsty, this is really weird, considering the time I have spent running and walking, I should been tired by now. What is happening to me?”
”And where are the people living here? And this houses, the construction is unfamiliar too. Who built this? And who lived in them?”
”No sign of advance technology either. I doubt I'm in Valencia anymore. Where am I? Am I even in Ulterion star system? I should take precautions, maybe I'm in enemy territory now.” Jurion with worried expression.
”A pavement looks like a road connected to a town, this leads somewhere, I should follow it, since my body is not exhausted I should try running more, see what my limit is, maybe this is one of the benefits of the experiment.”
He bolted along the road, ”My running speed is ordinary but my stamina is astonishing, I can't even run like this before. My body looks weak but durable enough, I wonder what else this body can do?” He panted a little bit, no sweat on his entire body.
”Wow! this is very wide, I bet this is a metropolis.” He staggered, a dumbfounded expression on his face. A spacious village in front of him so much so that he can't see the end of it from all direction in where he stands.
The mega city is more intact than the last village, buildings are still standing though some have collapsed from the test of time. He visited most of the houses and still no living being.
He reached the center of the village after several hours of wondering, in there stood a gigantic building, ”This looks like a castle, a little bit smaller than the castle in Vastria, maybe 50 storeys at least.”
Before entering the main door, a bright orb floating in mid air due west of the building emanates white light was brought to his attention, he walked towards it.
A diamond shaped crystal hovered in mid air and spun in counterclockwise manner, big as a soccer ball.
”I wonder what it is.” he felt a cold breeze in his left hand while curiously held and analyzed it, oddly enough nothing happened.
”Should I take it with me?” he pondered for a moment.
”Nah, I will check it later, I feel like there is something inside the building powerful calling me, I should check it first. I'm coming back for you okay, stay right here.” he turned his back and entered the large building.
After entering the door, a stair going to the second floor diverged from either side, high ceilings and not a single ornament can be found, only walls, corridors and rooms, not even lights or candles. The floor is made out of red tiles dusty like a thousand years of abandonment.
A bed with a mattress covered in a white bedsheet in the center of each room, no comfort room or any showers. ”This is bizarre, the building was designed like they don't need to take a bath or relieve themselves. Who are the people that live here? What is there biology?”
In a large room in the ground floor 10 massive tables with chairs on either side of the table is arranged. ”If this is a dining hall, how do they cook their food? I did not find any room that can be used as a kitchen here. This people are really weird. Or maybe this is a conference room or something?”
”I should check the other rooms as well.”
