148 Brute Force (2/2)

The dragon opened his mouth as an immense amount of energy gathered in his mouth.

*BOOMMMMMM!!!!!

A huge ray of light shot forward as Rei quickly dodged sideways to avoid it yet a third of his left side couldn't avoid it.

Feeling the burning sensation, Rei's eyes became blood shot as he saw how the majority of the right side of his body was evaporated.

Red tendrils emerged from his body as he quickly regenerated.

Rei's body shuddered with slight pain as he could feel himself overstepping the boundaries and was on the threshold to divine rank 6.

Rei clenched his teeth as he gathered energy in his palm once more.

”RISE!!!!!!” He shouted with his entire being as his life depended on it.

He couldn't regenerate infinitely, each death caused him to lose a huge amount of energy especially since the power behind the dragon was huge and he had to expend several more times the amount of energy to regenerate himself.

”ANNOYING PEST!” The dragon shouted as it only made him angrier seeing the army rise once more.

Energy gathered in its claws as he slammed down causing the earth to crack as blades rose use shredding everything around it.

Rei was in the range as well as his body was cut in half several times. Regenerating once more Rei felt his power reach the limit stopping at the start rank 6 as anymore and it would be like the fight against Gaia and Alaya. He would die not to long after.

Activating everything he had, Rei enlarged as his Myriad War God avatar appeared. It had demonic armour colour black, 7 pairs of wings behind him with half like the sun and the last half like the deepest void. A ring of energy was formed slightly behind his figure as it showed all of the forms he had, from Atlas, Heavenly Demon and Sword Monarch to unknown ones that Rei had never even put his attention too.

The avatar was smaller than the dragon as two great swords appeared in the avatar's hands.

*BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!

Rei charged towards the dragon as he didn't have long in this form. Reaching Divine Rank 6 was heavily pushing his limits.

Using the great swords, Rei deflected as much of the sword energy as he could, yet some would still hit his avatar destroying large chunks before regenerating.

Closing in on the dragon, Rei pushed the two great swords together creating a huge hammer.

Stomping down heavily, Rei put the entirety of his weight behind the hammer as he slammed in towards the dragon whilst also using the true tremor fruit to support his attack.

*BOOOOMMMM!!!!! CRACKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

As the hammer slammed against the dragon as huge crater formed beneath them as the earth cracked allowing one to see magma bubbling beneath the crust.

”ARHHGGGG!!!!!!” The dragon roared in rage as it clawed towards Rei who dismissed the hammer into a bundle of golden chains that wrapped around his wrists.

Dodging the claw, Rei threw the chain into the maw of the dragon as he swung himself on its back.

Quickly wrapping a few more loops around the neck of the dragon, Rei stomped the neck of the dragon as he pulled as hard as he could.

”HAAAA!!!!!!” Rei shouted out unwillingly as he exerted his strength, the chains dug into the dragon as it stopped the dragon from using its divine powers, yet the physical power was unrestrained.

The dragon thrashed around as he felt the chains tighten, he used every method he could to try throw Rei off which included his wings, claw and tail but Rei pulled without stop.

The dragon flew up hoping it would throw Rei off.

Gathering the remains of his energy in his arms and legs, Rei bent his body backwards from the force as the chains started to rip the muscles around the dragon's mouth and neck.

”COME ON!!!!” Rei shouted as his energy was running out, his form was slowly dimming from the lack of energy.

*CRACK!!!

With an earth-shattering crack, the chains ripped pass the dragons mouth severing the skull and spine leaving the dragon in free fall.

Rei felt joy but was soon plunged into worry as his avatar wouldn't be able to last long enough for him to survive the fall. If he were to fall without the support of his avatar and with the lack of energy, he wouldn't be able to regenerate and defiantly die.

Quickly looking around him, Rei made a sword as he cut open the dragon's belly. Dismissing the avatar, Rei threw the chain towards the belly and swung himself inside.

He hoped that the flesh would absorb most of the impact before it reached him.

His consciousness blurred as his rank fell back to rank 3, his body screamed out with pain as the weakened period kicked in.

Rei closed his eyes as he could only hope his choice was a good one for him to survive.
