Chapter 164 - The Client Agrees. (1/2)

When Kelly told the client about the whereabouts of Orgon, at first, the client was left a little shocked and speechless but he eventually sounded a bit interested as he agreed to go.

He did find the situation a bit suspicious considering the fact that Kelly had been telling him that they had no leads on the man claiming to be Orgon, however, the client still decided to trust Kelly and agreed to go.

Whether he would really show up to the auction by himself or send someone else on his behalf to check the situation was not something that could be easily guessed.

However, Hecathe had already guessed it.

Hecathe was suspecting Asgarian to be the client that he was working with and if this was really true then he wouldn't be wrong in thinking that the man is too smart.

If Hecathe was the one in the man's shoes, he would have certainly not gone by himself and instead, he would've sent a trusted subordinate instead, just to make sure that this wasn't a trap.

Since Asgarian was considered to be a smart man, Hecathe was sure that the man would also do the same and send someone else instead of him.

When Marvin and LeiLei arrived at the guild, Hecathe dragged them away to a more private place which was basically a mutant cave. The three were the only ones in the team since the team leader, Kelly never agreed to go with them today, and hence, they had enough privacy and time to talk.

The mutant cave wasn't exactly the best place to talk but at least it was safe and good enough for them.

Hecathe controlled all the mutants inside the cave and made sure that some of them gave up their mutant beads in order to submit them to the guild once the team got out of the cave, while the others continued on with their normal business, ignoring the team of three that leisurely sat down on the floor and discussed their plan.

Hecathe soon told Marvin and LeiLei the things he talked about with Kelly and the two looked to be surprised at first but since it was Hecathe, they found it much easier to accept it since the man was always full of spontaneous dangerous ideas.

”But are you sure you want to act this soon?” Marvin asked with a frown as he looked at the man.

Hecathe smiled as he heard this question and nodded his head as he spoke, ”Waiting is only making me bored and disinterested in this game. Isn't it better to catch the whale as fast as we can? Catching it by surprise may actually increase our chance of winning.”

Marvin gulped as he heard this and for a second there, he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

He repeated Hecathe's words through his head and wondered if he had really heard it right...

Did this man just say that this was a game...?

Much alike Marvin, LeiLei also looked to be a bit worried but along with that sense of worry, there was also a sense of excitement.

”So what's the plan?” LeiLei asked as she looked at Hecathe curiously and Hecathe smiled in satisfaction as he heard this question.

”Marvin goes to the auction next week and acts as if he is Orgon.”

Marvin snapped his head up to look at the man in disbelief as he heard this, ”...”

Why was it that he was always the last one to know that he was involved in the most dangerous part of the plan...?!

”Weren't you the one acting as Orgon?” Marvin questioned with a frown.

Hecathe nodded his head as he spoke, ”It was me, but I don't think I can do this alone. You would be much more believable since you actually have a power alike his. Marvin, I hate to say this but I might just be needing your help this time and if it is not you then it can be nobody else. You want to catch him too, don't you?”

Hecathe and LeiLei looked at Marvin expectantly as they waited for a response from the boy.

Marvin clicked his tongue as he muttered, ”If you hate to say it, why don't you just not say it...?!”

”...”

LeiLei snickered as she heard this but said nothing more and Hecathe pursed his lips into a thin smile that didn't give out much.

”Please?” Hecathe asked with that indecipherable smile and Marvin rolled his eyes as he nodded his head and agreed to the plan.
