Chapter 129 - To Say Sorry (1/2)

”Did you apologize to him?” LeiLei asked and Marvin didn't know if he was supposed to laugh or cry as he heard this question.

”How could I beg for forgiveness when I was the one that had killed him in the first place?” Marvin asked a bit sarcastically and LeiLei frowned as she heard this.

”You should have still said sorry,” LeiLei spoke as she pointed up at the sky, ”Maybe he was waiting to hear it.”

Marvin couldn't understand what the girl was trying to say so he simply blinked in confusion while Hecathe, on the other side, chuckled as he looked up at the dark sky.

”You think someone would wait to hear something such as a simple apology?” Hecathe asked without thinking about it too much.

”Why not?” LeiLei turned to look at Hecathe as she questioned, ”If it was a close friend then that friend must have also felt horrible.”

”Why would he feel horrible? Wasn't he the one who was wronged?” Hecathe titled his head as he questioned.

LeiLei nodded her head as she responded, ”You're right. He was the victim but he's already dead. Raven is the one who has to live on with the guilt and pain of having killed that friend. If I was the friend then I would have certainly felt horrible for making him suffer because of me.”

Hecathe couldn't help but blink in surprise as he heard this and at the same time, he also felt as if he was hearing something stupid that actually made some sense.

”It's the ones who live that feel pain. They are the ones suffering the most,” LeiLei sighed as she added and Hecathe somehow agreed with her.

”That's a good thing,” Marvin muttered as he looked down at the floor, ”I was the one who killed him so I should be the one to suffer. It's good that I'm the one suffering. I deserve it.”

LeiLei had the urge to slap the boy's face as she heard this.

”Suffering isn't the answer!” LeiLei spoke up firmly, ”You should realize your mistake and find a way to make everything better. Instead of wasting away loathing yourself, you should try to make something out of your life! Because you're the one that is living... You need to live for him as well. You need to be happy for him as well.”

Hecathe thought that Marvin and LeiLei were alike but after hearing this argument between the two, he understood that there was a big difference between them.

Although their situation was somewhat the same, how they dealt with it and what they took away from it were entirely different.

”That's why you should apologize,” LeiLei let go of Marvin's hand and raised her hand to smack his head softly as she scolded, ”You should apologize to him in your heart and learn to move on.”

Hecathe gulped as he heard this and felt as if this girl was going to be causing trouble.

On one hand, Hecathe was trying his best to agitate Marvin to take revenge while on the other hand, this girl was trying to teach him to let everything go.

If Marvin started to believe her then it was certainly going to be troublesome...!

”Let it go?” Marvin muttered a question as he looked at the girl before asking seriously, ”Then what do I do with the one who murdered my father and framed my friend? Should I let him go as well?”

LeiLei gulped as she heard this sudden question that was a bit unexpected for her.

After an entire minute, the girl snapped angrily as she answered the question, ”You should kill him, of course! Letting go of the guilt and pain is not the same as forgiving the one who committed the crime!”

Both Marvin and Hecathe were shocked by her ruthless response and Hecathe couldn't help but want to sigh in relief as he heard the girl.

Thankfully enough she wasn't the angelic forgiving type...

On second thoughts, Hecathe felt that this was also not good news for him since it would mean that she wouldn't readily forgive Alphius for her father's death.

Marvin suddenly chuckled as a response and Hecathe couldn't help but do the same as he found the girl's response a bit amusing.

”Then I'll take your word for it,” Marvin spoke in between his chuckle and although LeiLei felt as if she had inspired the boy to do something, she had no idea what that thing was.

Suddenly LeiLei and Marvin turned to look at Hecathe and the man immediately stopped laughing as he tilted his head in confusion and questioned, ”What is it?”
