Chapter 84 - The Start Of The Rumors (1/2)

The Dorgon looked to be pretty happy to see the meat and he was more than eager to finish it all in one day.

Hecathe sighed as he sat down in front of the desk and started filling up the details of his plan inside the diary.

Since Hecathe was so motivated, the whale would certainly fall for the trap.

The next few days seemed to have gone by peacefully with Hecathe only going out to buy meat for the Dorgon.

The Dorgon thought that his master was really kind for going through so much trouble just to feed him and this further made him trust Hecathe and grow a bit more fond of him.

However, the reason why Hecathe diligently made sure to go to Grandma's knife was certainly not because he was worried about starving the Dorgon.

Feeding the Dorgon was nothing more than an excuse for Hecathe to go and listen in to the rumors that were slowly being spread.

The rumors that Orgon had returned from the dead.

Nobody except for Hecathe knew the origins of the rumor, but once it was spread widely, it was no longer considered to be a rumor but rather a fact that had a great possibility of being true.

In just a few days, the form that Hecathe had submitted to the Golden fire guild got approved and he received a confirmation letter telling him that he was now an official member of the guild.

Hecathe smirked as he once again put on his disguise of a hunter and folded the letter before keeping it away in his pocket.

”Are you going out to get the meat?” The Dorgon jumped around as he asked enthusiastically.

Hecathe smiled as he crouched down and patted the Dorgon's head affectionately, ”Do you think I'm gonna keep burning my pocket by feeding you? Didn't I already tell you to get your own food?”

”...”

The smile on the man's face certainly didn't match the words he spoke so ruthlessly.

”Master, why are you being like this again?” The Dorgon pouted as he whined.

In these few days of living together with Hecathe, the dorgon had come to understand something really important.

It was the fact that Hecathe might be cold on the outside but was really thoughtful and a bit kind on the inside. Just a bit... But it was enough to make him buy the Dorgon food if the creature whined like a child.

”Shut up,” Hecathe pursed his lips as he glared at the Dorgon, ”Stay here and stay quiet. Don't let anyone find you. I might be a little late today.”

The Dorgon gulped as he nodded his head with a bit of fear after hearing the man's pressing voice.

Although the Dorgon had figured out Hecathe's weakness, he was still left fearing the man whose kindness could run out at any moment.

Hecathe sighed as he stood up and left the place, closing and locking the door of his room before heading to the guild.

For some reason, Hecathe trusted the Landlady and Zail, however, he didn't trust them enough to let them know about the Dorgon just yet.
