10 Chapter 10 (1/2)
With the wind blowing and the sound of an engine entered his ears, Glen was waiting to arrive at his destination as he look around the scenery around him. The speed of the bullhead is fast, but it's not fast enough for him to not enjoy his time.
So with a marveled look, he was fascinated at how clean the air was, and there are a lot of greenery as far as he could see. After a while he could see that there is a city up ahead. It was a very big city with a flag of an axe crossing each other.
Seeing that, he was sure that it was the Kingdom of Vale, the place where all hell would broke loose in the future. Marveling at how big and cool it was, Glen then opened his wings as he dropped himself from the bullhead.
He was flying just above a rundown building in the outskirt of the city. Flying while looking around, he then let out a sweat drop as he saw the bullhead he latched into just passed the city. To be completely honest, he was planning to take a nap as he waited for the bullhead to arrive at Vale.
But he was too fascinated at how beautiful the sea was and completely forgot to nap. It seems that he was saved from being taken somewhere he didn't plan to. Judging from the direction where the bullhead was going, Glen predicted that it was going to Mistral.
Since if it were going to Atlas, then it wouldn't pass the Kingdom of Vale at all and directly go to Atlas by the sea.
Glen once searched the Map of Remnant and Atlas is in the upper position from Vale and the island of Patch. So he was sure that it going to Mistral, as he was looking at the far away bullhead he then spotted a certain ice cream themed girl walking while twirling her umbrella in the dark alleyway.
Seeing the girl, Glen let out another sweat drop as he felt that his luck is really terrible. 'Did the god curse me or something? What did I do wrong to deserve this?!' He lamented as he erased his presence and avoiding the girl like a plague.
He then fly toward the rooftop of a building and changed his form to a human again. Letting out a sigh and then shake his head slowly, Glen then turned around preparing to get away from the area.
But he frozen in place with an awkward smile on his face. His right eyebrow twitching slowly as he let out a small chuckles from his throat.
”Who might you be, beautiful lady?” Glen asked to the ice cream themed girl who is looking at him with an amused expression. Her cute lips were raised into a smirk that made her look even more enchanting.
Keeping her smirk on her lips, she then walked slowly toward Glen with her hip swaying left and right. Although Glen was not scared of her, he couldn't help but feel a little nervous. This short but sexy girl In front of him is not someone he should antagonize so early after he arrived in here.
The ice cream themed girl didn't answer his question and keep walking until they were close enough to almost touch each other nose. She was looking up slightly as she was shorter than Glen himself.
Taking a deep breathe while inhaling the sweet scenes of the girl in front of him, Glen then narrowed his eyes. ”I'm sorry, but don't you think we are too close?” Glen asked again. This time his tone were a little bit colder.
He didn't know what the crazy lady wants from him, but he was sure not going to just stay silent and be played like a toy.
When he saw that her empty right hand was moving, Glen focused his sense and be sure not to be caught off guard. He was confident to defend himself with his aura in this almost zero distance between them.
Seeing that she was reaching to her coat pocket, Glen knew that she was taking out her scroll. But he didn't let his guard down and keep looking at her half brown and half pink irises.
She then taped something on her scroll and then flipped it and moved it in front of his eyes so that he could read it.
”What's your name, handsome?” Glen said as he read the text from Neo. He was not so sure as to how he should be feeling right now. But he was certain that he's not ready to face her yet. So with a smile on his face Glen then take a step back and then bowed to Neo with his right hand on his left chest.
”My name is not really that important, but I do want to know who this beautiful lady in front of me is.” Glen flirted with a warm smile on his face.
Glen could just run away and ignore this ice cream girl, but he know that this girl is really pitiful, so he decided to just go with the flow and see what's going to happen next.
Seeing the warm smile on Glen's lips, Neo the blinked her eyes for a moment before letting out her own smile. Her smile however, looked really dangerous as she narrowed her eyes. She then started to tap her scroll again without leaving her eyes from Glen.
{Playing a game with me?} A mechanical voice resounded from the scroll in Neo's hand.
Hearing the mechanical voice from the scroll Glen then let out a chuckle as he keep his act together. He was still looking at Neo's cute and beautiful face with a warm smile. ”A good day we have here, don't you think so?” Glen stated as he looked around him with a warm smile still on his face. He then continued as he saw the smile on Neo's lips disappeared. ”But seeing the unfriendly lady in front of me, I feel that my time to go has arrived.”
Just as he was finished saying that Neo's figure turned into a glass like fragments before appearing beside him with a kick aimed at his waist. Glen was prepared for a surprise attack from her, so with a slight jump to the back, he avoided Neo's kick easily.
Glen was actually quite conflicted, he didn't know what he should be saying to this pitiful girl or woman in front of him. He know that if he left her alone, she will be in for a tragedy in the future.
But he didn't actually know how to talk to a girl, he was an introvert back on earth and being a shut in after that is not helping him in his current situation. 'I actually don't know how to handle girls in the first place…. Not to mention the one in front of me is a freak and a bit wrong in the head!' He thought while dodging Neo's attack.
Neo's figure suddenly disappeared from Glen's sight and then a sudden force of something sharp hit his back. With swing of his right leg, Glen kicked Neo as he ignored her attack. She was kicked with quite a strong force as her body flew in the air before hitting the next building with a crash, her body then fell down after making a human sized crater on the wall, a loud *thud* sound could be hear as she fell on the empty alleyway.
He did feel sorry though, he didn't plan to kick her that strongly but she annoyed him quite a bit. When Glen saw that she was kicked off the building, he then started to run to see if she were all right.
As he got down the building with a jump, he saw Neo was lying down with her back facing the sky. She stayed still without moving, he was sure that she's not conscious anymore, he then come closer to check on her. As he drew near, he noticed that her aura was completely gone.
With a bit of panic he then kneeled by her side and checking her body if there was something broken or an internal bleeding. After he was sure that she was all right, he then flipped over her body slowly so that she won't be feeling uncomfortable.
