Chapter 2: I took my sisters feet in both hands (1/2)

”I've told you to call me by my name... Well, whatever, it's not like you are going to change.”

I had told her many times, but she wouldn't listen.

”Thank you for your understanding, Lord Jun Cheng.”

I nodded and started to walk again and Yu Hui followed me behind my side, like a shadow.

I didn't think I mention her just now. In fact, we checked out of the hospital together.

Under my firm requirement, Xue Qing regularly licked the wound on Yu Hui's back as well. Besides, she seemed to have her own way of healing. So her recovery came earlier than mine, but she remined in hospital… just to stay by my side.

After Xue Qing checked out, I was transferred to a single ward with the help of my dad and Yu Hui went to another single ward.

That being said, she would still hang around me most of the time.

She just didn't show herself intentionally in front of anyone. I didn't know how she hid herself and only showed herself and talked to me when there were only her and me.

Which felt like … a ninja who was guarding his master.

That was how obsessed Yu Hui was with me.

If what she got was also Chunibyo, I was afraid that the disease already attacked her vitals and she was beyond cure.

She was way too serious.

While she was around me and was protecting me, she also tried to avoid bringing me any trouble.

She wouldn't talk to me if I didn't speak to her.

But today, she looked like she had something to say.

I scratched my face, turned my head and asked.

”Hmmm, do you want to say something?”

Yu Hui paused and her face turned dark: ”Forgive me if I offend you, but you talk to that woman again, didn't you, Lord Jun Cheng?”

”Well… are you talking about Lian Bing?” Since I woke up that morning, the only women I talked with were the nurse and Lian Bing. There was no way she was referring to the nurse. So it must have been Lian Bing.

”Yes. I wouldn't bother you about her during your stay in hospital since you couldn't get to where you want at your own. But after you go back to your normal life, don't you think it's better to stop seeing that woman?”

”Uh… where does that come from? She's my girlfriend…” Did she want me to break up with her? But we weren't in a fight or anything, there was no reason for me to break up with her. Though we were very different in terms of our status, but I had never seen that as a problem… I had always had an inexplicable confidence in us.

We could even get to the point where we met each other's parents.

M-hm… Seeing that I was not nervous at all, Yu Hui lay stress on the situation once more.

”That woman is not good for you. The more beautiful a thing is, the deadlier it is going to be. She seems harmless while in fact she's lethal. You should know that well by now.”

”Don't call her a thing… Well… she has changed a lot. Didn't you see that she had been good to me for the past month?” Before, I was afraid of her to death, but at the moment I didn't have that sense of fear at all, I even wanted to get closer to her… Was it her or me that changed?

Maybe both of us changed.

”But she is just pretending that. Her nature didn't change a bit.”

”…” Though I really wanted to refute, but I didn't know what to say, since what Yu Hui said was true.

Because I could see the title which represented her nature, I understood better.

She was still a ”necrophilia homicidal maniac”.

”Well… even that, I can't abandon her first. As long as she doesn't intend to harm me, I won't break up with her. You know what I'm like since we have been friends since we were little.”

”…” Not talking to me anymore.

She seemed as if she still couldn't get over that.

I obviously hoped that she could get over me and live her own life… but nothing could change her obsession with me at all.

Then she wouldn't listen to what I have to say. I would just let her straighten up her thoughts.

I shrugged and resumed walking. Yu Hui was still following me half-heartedly. She was further back and now really became my shadow. At around eight, I arrived at my front door and stopped.

Yu Hui who was still thinking didn't notice that I had stopped and hit me on the back.

”I am so sorry. I was thinking just now…” She said, while I turned around and stroked her head.

”Do you want to come inside and have a rest? Xin Ran will be thrilled to see you.” At first, Yu Hui had been a childhood friend to Xin Ran and me so she had a good relationship with Xin Ran as well. But while in hospital, Yu Hui avoided my sisters, so she hadn't seen Xin Ran up till now.

However, Yu Hui shook her head and refused my invitation as I had expected.

”No, thank you.”

”Okay… well, I'll be going inside then?”

”All right…”

I waved to her and then opened the door and got into the house.

”I'm home.” It was quiet in the house. Was there nobody home?

Dad was still in the hospital, he helped me with the check-out. And mom… her shoes were in the shoe cabinet. She might still be sleeping. After all, it was Saturday, she could sleep in.

After the killer ghost incident, there was no more report on murder cases with dismembering. As expected, the murderers were those who possessed by ghosts.

With five killer ghosts dead at once, those who used the killer ghosts couldn't afford to act rashly any more. One misstep, they would draw fire on themselves.

The masses who had nothing to do with that incident didn't have to be scared when they went out in the middle of the night. However, for my mom, it meant an end of her working overtime.

In order to not disturb her dreams, I would try to make as little noise as possible… I walked upstairs without my slippers after I took off my shoes.

Suddenly a déjà vu hit me.

I remembered once I was hit and went off in a faint and it was late when I woke up.

That time, when I was home, I didn't wear my slippers in fear that I would wake my sisters.

Then I bumped into Xin Ran who was waiting for me on the second floor. Would she be waiting for me this time…? An intriguing feeling lingered in my heart, like I already knew what was about to happen and I went upstairs distracted.

But Xin Ran wasn't there.

”Ah ha ha…” Damn, what was I thinking about? Had I lost my mind? Taking déjà vu as a prophecy. That was Chunibyo enough.

”Gege?”

”Well?” A familiar voice reached me. From where? My back!

I turned around to find that voice immediately.

Xin Ran was sitting on the stairs to the attic. With her hand supporting her head, she looked at me quietly.

What… she was right there.
