Drake was now the current champion of the Hoenn region. This was the time when the protagonist Ash Ketchum has not even born.

”Drake, I don't think there is a need to worry. The guy is just a good researcher, not a good trainer. Region's power is determined with a powerful trainer” said Alexsis.
