69 Contract Killers (1/2)

”Everyone play,” Said, Rose

They sat down on the floor and played an intense game of Uno. They played in teams of two with the teammate sitting opposite each other. Much like the video game version your teammates could see your cards.

The way it works in real life is by the use of tiny shoulder camera that's combined with a projector called the PartyCam. You pair your PartyCam to your teammates and then it will project your teammate's card onto your own.

PartyCam's were developed by a small group of friends who wanted the computer experience of card games and the personal touch of face to face social interaction.

(A/N: Honestly you're gonna see a lot of convenient weird inventions. For this, I just had a random thought where card games would become a professional sport not saying it isn't but team-based stuff is always way more entertaining to watch)

The technology is nothing groundbreaking and even considered old but they tapped into the unforeseen market.

The teams were Rose & Bella, Mary & Sophie, Theodore & Grace. For Theodore and his fellow adults, they decided on the teams with Siri.

Rose and Bella won most of the games with the other intentionally losing or making the game difficult. The adults would start trying the moment they locked eyes and nodded.

Every time the adult won with thier speedy stacking and strategies the kids would re-enact the process. Card games are not just fun and games they are teaching tools that can help a child develop certain skills.

Especially with a team-based game like Uno duo, Rose and Bella learn to silently cooperate whilst somewhat trying to make a strategy to win of course winning means sometimes you have to be the scapegoat for your teammate.

After two hours of Uno, they put Bella and Rose down for thier nap.

|Third Pov Max Stine|

Hölle Hole is L.A's greatest and loudest club. Despite it being midday the place was overcrowded.

Going by the name of Max Stine, recently turned 25, standing at 5.9ft with no social life or internet presence. He had worked hard to cut all ties to anyone who knew his name and face.

He is super-power user with the ability to produce and shoot sharp bones from his body. This ability comes with a high healing factor to patch up the holes made by producing bones.

His big secret is that he's a type2 that allows him to mold the bones as he like with a higher healing factor. He can mold not just the bones that pop out from his skin but his own skeleton. With it, he can change his height, body, and face.

He believes himself to be an unmatched genius. He earns money through the stock market and keeps himself busy with learning skills and other useful knowledge.

He is without a doubt a genius but what he dreams to be apart of is out of his league. As a genus he looks for entertainment but still, he has yet to find something that continues to challenge him.

That is until he discovered a world in which would have him use everything he knows. The world he's so captivated by is Contract Killers.

The bartender who had a carefree smile and a pair of rectangular glasses looked at Max, and said: ”What can I get for you?”

Max places his hand on the counter with a Jack of Spades palmed. As the card touched the counter a bunch of text move across the bartender's glasses. He then nods towards the two bouncers who watch over him.

”I believe the letter said to come alone,” Said The Bartender

”I've seen enough movies to know you can never be too careful,” Said Max confidently

The bartender gave a cold smile and said slowly ”Well, Word of advice the movies are just a fantasy and real-life is. . . ”

As he pauses a bouncer beside the bar seemingly disappears and reappears with a suppressed Pistol pressed against Max's forehead.

”Brutally honest hahaha.... Contract killers don't fight like they do in the movie. We go for the kill before a fight can start hahaha ” Said The Bartender with a cold laugh

Max froze in fear while the Bartender continued ”When you accepted that playing card you accepted our rules. Remember this Mr. Stine when you're given instruction you are to follow them. Lucky for you, you will only be getting a warning please don't expect us to be so lenient next time”

Max gave a scared nod and said ”I'm very sorry”

”Welcome to Royal ranked 2nd in the world. No, we are not sanctioned by a Royal family its a name born from the boss's love for poker hence why our call sign is cards. Now let's get to giving you a job” Said The Bartender before dipping under the counter and pulling out a briefcase with a brown paper envelope.

Sliding the envelope over the table he said ”Open the envelope”

Max nervously opens it and sees a head shot of an old man. Then a few lines of text.
