Stopping at the park he let his daughter go wild. Sticking close and watching over her while recording every moment on his.

”Dad, watch,” Shouted Rose as she gets to the monkey bars.

Swinging one arm after the other while huffing and puffing. Just as she was getting to the end she lost her strength and fell on her butt.

”Owie,” Said Rose as she stands up and pats her butt down

Theodore knew she wasn't hurt but still asked ”Are you okay, Rose,”

Rose folded her arms while pouting and looking up at the monkey bars she said with a stubborn tone ”No finish. Again!!”

Theodore smiled proudly at how determined Rose was.

”You've got this Rose” Shouted Theodore with an encouraging tone.

Theodore watched Rose try once more before finally getting to the last bar and overcoming it.

Jumping down she put her hands on her hips and pushed her chest out while raising her chin at 30° angle ”Good!!”

Theodore quickly stepped forward and without warning scooped her up, and said ”Wow, my little princess is so strong,”

”Hehehe Strong~,” Said Rose with a bright smile

”Let's celebrate with some Ice cream” Said Theodore

”Ice Cream! Yes please,” Said Rose excitedly

Walking towards an Ice cream truck that was parked near the park they waited in line.

When it was finally their turn to order Theodore looked at the selection and saw that the prices were reasonable.

”Which one do you want,” Said Theodore as he raised

Rose in front of the images of Ice cream.

”Hmmm. . . .This one, pink, brown and yellow,” Said Rose while pointing at the strawberry, vanilla and chocolate with sprinkles option.

”That's right,” Said Theodore happily

He then orded ”We'll have 1 triple taste and a salted caramel swirl”

”Coming right up,” Said The owner

A few seconds later Theodore was given a cone with salted caramel ice cream on top and a disposable bowl that had what Rose had ordered with a spoon.

They sat down at the bench with their ice cream in hand and enjoyed the moment.

”Rose, there's something you should know” Said Theodore with a forced smile

”Okay,” Said Rose while digging into her bowl

”It's about mom,” Said Theodore

Rose hand froze as her she looked down with a sad expression

”Mom, will not be coming anymore,” Said Theodore

Rose's expression changed to show shock before asking ”Rose and Daddy, no mommy”

”Yes,” Said Theodore

”Rose loves Daddy, so it okay~,” Said Rose cutely with a bright smile

'She's an angel. I think I have to buy two gifts today,' Thought Theodore

”That's right Dad loves Rose, and Rose loves Dad,” Said Theodore

With the spoon in her, mouth Rose nods while smiling.

On the way back Theodore bought the thing he thought would make Old Charlie happy. Rose saw the gift and grew attached to it before surprising her with the very same gift.

”This one's old Charlie and this one for you.” Said, Theodore.

Theodore walked back home with his daughter with two large plastic box's. Then he placed one at Charlie doorstep and knocked before jumping the fence and watch watching from home.

Pov Charlie

I am Charlie Banks, age 73 and have lived a full life filled with sweetness, and bitterness.

I am a happily married man and I will take that to my grave.

But today is different because it's the 20th September at 8:46 am is the day I will forever remember as the day I lost a large piece of what makes up the sweetness of my life.

Last year Friday the 20th September 2019 was the day I lost my soulmate, best friend and wife. It's a day I wished never came or was never remembered as such.

'I wasn't expecting anyone' I thought before dragons my old body off the chair and walk towards the front door.

Opening the door I saw no one and though it was some kids playing a prank on me that is until I heard something.

”Woof, Woof”

Looking down I see a white box that had a steel cage door on the front. Inside was a young white Labrador Retriever sitting on a doggy bed with toys around it.

On top was a letter with a bag filled with the necessary item to care for a dog.

I then read the letter

Hello, this is a gift from a friend who will not be named. Do not worry he has gone through all the necessary checkups and verified to healthy and disease-ridden.

Please do not feel obligated to repay me. I did this out of concern for your recent unhappy behaviour. I hope this will help you to smile and be happy once again.

Rose was also enjoying her gift which was also a puppy. Her one was a Siberian Husky she had named Icy.

Initially, it was Ice Cream but it was shortened to Icy because it was easier for her.

Pets in this world are not at all expensive to get. Though it's still quite a high price to take care of. Thankfully for Theodore, the per shop was selling pets with a bundle of food and toys.

Theodore was watching quietly and excitedly.

When Charlie opened the cage and picked up the young pup while stroking its little head he gave a little chuckle that was then followed up with a heartfelt smile.

Immediately after seeing the thing he was aiming for he felt a quick-burning pain go through his hands and then a throbbing migraine.

Once the pain was gone he noticed that his fingers had grown longer and seemed to be more nimble. Then in his brain was every single astounding and miracle looking trick possible.

Another thing he got was something unexpected.
