Zhang Yu Han was at a loss when Doctor Qiao told him that he has to be the one who caught the baby as he came out. He was not allowed to enter the delivery room when his wife gave birth to Zhang Li Xue and therefore, he did not have any experience or know what to expect.

However, Doctor Qiao had reminded him that at this time, his wife has no one but him. The mother and child were depending on him.

Zhang Yu Han took a deep breath and pull himself together. His wife was in pain to deliver their second child and he could not afford to be faint heart at this moment.

He went over to his wife's legs and looked at the baby's head. At this moment, he was able to see more of it. Doctor Qiao mentioned that the baby was in a good position, therefore, he shouldn't be having too many difficulties.

He did not now whether Doctor Qiao was merely saying those just to ease his anxiety, but her comforting words had successfully helped him to relax. Now, he only needed to be careful as he caught the baby and see if the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby's neck.

”Qin Yao, breathe,” Zhang Yu Han coaxed. ”You can do this. I can see the baby's head. He's going to come out soon.”

Li Qin Yao pushed the baby out and cried at the pain. Hearing that the baby was going to come out soon, she gritted her teeth, forced herself to bear with the pain, and breathe again. Then, she tightened her grip on the sofa and pushed again.

From the loudspeaker, Doctor Qiao's voice could be heard, giving Zhang Yu Han instruction as well as to give the couple more ȧssuring words.

Zhang Yu Han gasped when he saw the scene in front of him. He took a deep breath and announced. ”The baby's head is out!”

Li Qin Yao heaved with relief. She knew from experience that the shoulder will come out next. Then, the delivery process should come easily after that.

”Mrs. Zhang, Mister Zhang, you have done a very good job so far,” Doctor Qiao spoke. ”Mister Zhang, now that the baby's head is out, you need to be ready to catch the baby. Don't pull. Just guide the baby out carefully.”

Zhang Yu Han wiped the sweat on his face with his sleeve and get into the position. He listened carefully to the doctor's instructions and watched the baby's head.

After a few more pushes, the shoulder was finally out, and soon with a final push, the baby finally came out.

”The baby came out!” Zhang Yu Han announced and heaved in relief. He looked down and continued, ”It's a boy.”

Doctor Qiao tightened her grip on the phone and heaved a sigh with relief.

Doctor Qiao gave him a few more instructions and a few seconds later, the baby's cry was heard. She took another deep breath and continued to instruct the father on what to do next.

Zhang Yu Han wrapped the baby in a clean towel and took him to his wife. He looked at his tired wife and kissed her forehead. ”Qin Yao, thank you. You've done a great job.” His voice was a little hoarse.

Li Qin Yao let out a sob as she looked at the baby. She took the baby to her ċhėst and tried to keep him warm.

”Congratulation, Mister Zhang, Mrs. Zhang. Both of you have done a great job delivering the child. Doctor Qi and I are on our way to your place. We are expected to arrive in another five minutes,” Doctor Qiao announced. ”Mister Zhang, how is your wife's condition at the moment?”
