Chapter 408 - I Have a Surprise to Give You (1/2)
Staring at the report in her hand, Li Qin Yao took a deep breath.
When her mother heard that she might be pregnant, she had dragged her daughter to a private hospital to get a proper check-up. Fortunately, because there was not a long queue and they were able to meet the doctor soon.
After taking a few samples from her body and waited, the doctor then confirmed her pregnancy.
Although it was not too long ago that she had checked the result with the test kit, hearing the confirmation words from the doctor was something else.
Her phone in her bag chimed. Li Qin Yao pulled out her phone and smiled upon seeing a text message from her husband, telling her that he had arrived at the airport and will be giving her a call once he checked into the hotel.
Li Qin Yao had wanted to tell him of this good news, but at the thought that he will worry, she then decided to tell him later when he returned.
”Mommy, are you still feeling unwell?” Zhang Li Xue asked as she walked over to her mother with a glass of water. Her small hands held the glass tightly as she was worried that the contents would splash out.
”I'm alright.” Li Qin Yao patted at her daughter's head and looked at the glass of water. ”Is that for me?”
”En.” The little girl nodded.
”Thank you, Li Xue.” Li Qin Yao took the glass, kissed the little girl on the cheek and she giggled happily. Li Qin Yao drank the water and put the glass on the table. Then, she took the little girl to her ŀȧp and hugged her tightly.
Feeling her mother's embracing her, Zhang Li Xue started to act coquettishly with her mother. Her small arms wrapped around her mother's neck as she rubbed her face on her mother's neck.
Li Qin Yao wondered if her daughter might sense that she will be getting a sibling soon and had wanted to stick closer to her before a new sibling arrived and her attention would then shifted to the new sibling.
As this thought crossed her mind, Li Qin Yao began to hold the little girl tightly. Suddenly, she was worried if she would start to neglect the little princess when a new baby came.
She did not know how the little princess was going to feel about getting a new sibling, but looking at her daughter, Li Qin Yao knew that she would be the best sister to her little brother or sister.
”Li Xue, what do you think about having a little brother or sister?”
The little girl stared back at her mother and tilted her head sideways as if pondering over her mother's question. ”Is it like Brother Zhen Yu's baby brother?”
The other day, when Zhang Li Xue was playing with Mu Zhen Yu at the wedding banquet, she was then introduced to the boy's little brother.
Looking at the small baby, Zhang Li Xue was fascinated. She wanted to play with the baby and had gone around the Mu's Grandmother to get a closer look. Soon, the older brother who had invited her to play with him was forgotten at the side, and Mu Zhen Yu had no other choice but to accompany Zhang Li Xue to play with the baby.
”Brother Zhen Yu's baby brother is cute. I like him,” Zhang Li Xue answered after considering the question for a while. ”Mommy, if I have a little brother or sister, I can play with the baby?”
”En.” Li Qin Yao nodded.
”Then I like it,” Zhang Li Xue answered. ”Baby smell good. Mommy, when are you going to bring home a baby for me to play with?”
Li Qin Yao laughed at her question. ”We will have to wait for a few months. When the baby comes, will you be a good sister?”
