Han Yue Xiu thought that she was perhaps too impulse when she had agreed to come over to Y City and meet with Song Yi's parents. She had just agreed to try and date him and to suddenly meeting his parents was too stressful.
Moreover, Han Yue Xiu was perfectly aware that her family and Song Yi's family were very different. She was not born with a silver spoon, but her parents had raised her with enough food on the table and clothes to wear. Song Yi on the other hand came from a wealthy, influential family, and knowing that their families were different, Han Yue Xiu was naturally worried.
Though she had decided to give Song Yi a chance, Han Yue Xiu did not harbor too much hope that their relationship would last for too long due to their differences.
After spending her time watching dramas, Han Yue Xiu was suddenly worried that Song Yi's parents were going to hand over a check to her before they asked her to break up with him. Moreover, after being around Song Yi for years, Han Yue Xiu was aware that Song Yi's parents favored Miss Fang. Or else, they will not try to match him with Miss Fang, right?
Therefore, Han Yue Xiu was sure that his parents would find an excuse to reject her. However, what she had expected did not happen at all.
Li Qin Yao laughed as soon as she heard Han Yue Xiu's retelling her at what happened during the dinner with Song Yi's elders. ”Why are anxious that his parents did not reject you? Shouldn't you be relieved?”
Han Yue Xiu muttered a few cursing words. ”I would be relieved if his parents offered me some money to leave. Surprisingly, they were very nice… His mother especially treated me nicely. They weren't following the script at all.”
”What script?” Li Qin Yao scoffed. ”Han Yue Xiu, I thought you only enjoyed watching horror movies. Turns out that you watched a lot of this kind of drama as well.”
”Yao Yao, tell me, do you think they were trying to pull a trick on me?” Han Yue Xiu asked. ”What if they only treat me well because they wanted me to lower my guard?”
Hearing her friend rambling on the other line, Li Qin Yao knew that her friend's thought was running wild again. ”What did Song Yi said about this?”
”What else he can say… he said his parents liked me.” Han Yue Xiu felt her face paled. Suddenly, she had a feeling that she had fallen into a sticky situation and it would be hard for her to get off.
Li Qin Yao rolled her eyes. After a few failed relationships, it seemed that Han Yue Xiu had become paranoid…
The two friends chatted for a while until Han Yue Xiu announced that she had a flight to catch. Once she placed her phone on the table, Li Qin Yao then turned to her husband who was sitting beside her and told him of what Han Yue Xiu had told her earlier.
Zhang Yu Han smiled as he continued to massage her legs. He could still remember how she was worried she was when his parents suddenly showed up. ”Fortunately, my wife charm was too hard to resist that everyone in my family adored you.”
Li Qin Yao laughed. ”Right. Han Yue Xiu tells me to thank you for letting her stay at the hotel. She's leaving for Capital City with Song Yi this afternoon.” She stared at his side profile and tilted her head. ”Are you sure it's fine if you don't go to work today?”
Earlier this morning, Zhang Yu Han saw the deep frown on her face and was worried when she had a terrible leg cramp. In the end, he spent his time to massage her legs and suddenly decided to work from home. Anyway, with his ȧssistant, Xiao Ye around, he did not have to worry about too much thing.
Li Qin Yao put her legs down from his thɨġh. Then she scooted close to him and stayed in his embrace.
”Not painful anymore?”
”Un,” Li Qin Yao nodded. ”Not painful. You always gave the best massage.”
”It's going to be our anniversary soon,” Zhang Yu Han said. ”Since we cannot celebrate it with your current condition, let's go on a trip after you have given birth.”
”Then what about your daughter?”
