Zhang Yu Han chuckled. ”Do you need to ask?”

Li Qin Yao pursed her lips as she recalled how she had bribed Liang Sheng to sneak a bar of chocolate for her, but after taking a bite, Nian Ting had caught her.

Li Qin Yao sighed, ready to accept her fate. However, her gaze caught the sight of the chocolate cake again and she was craving for it. Knowing that she was unable to convince her husband, Li Qin Yao turned to Zhang Jing with pleading eyes, hoping that her adorable Grandfather would be able to help her convince her husband into letting her eat that chocolate cake, even if it was only one bite.

”Qin Yao, don't look at me like that. You know that I will not be able to persuade Yu Han regarding this matter,” Zhang Jing said. ”If I can persuade him to be lenient on my diet, I would have succeeded a long time. Anyway, you will need to go through this diet for one more week. Once your doctor said that your sugar level is good, then you don't need to suffer like this anymore.”

Zhang Yu Ying paused upon meeting Li Qin Yao's gaze. ”Sister-in-law, sorry. I cannot help you. Among the three of us, I am at the bottom of the chain. My brother will not listen to me. Sister-in-law, you can do this!”

Zhang Yu Han who was watching these exchanges did not know whether he wanted to laugh or cry. Although his resolute has started to crumble, Zhang Yu Han knew that he needed to be firm.

His wife was pregnant and Doctor Qiao had mentioned that diabetic might cause complications that would be dangerous to both the mother and child. He did not want something bad to happen to both his wife and child and therefore, Zhang Yu Han can only take the role of the bad guy.

”Alright. Stop looking at the menu,” Zhang Yu Han said. ”I will order something for you, alright?”

Knowing that she had no chance to persuade her husband and the others were not able to help her, Li Qin Yao can only resign to her fate.

Their food arrived at the table and the four of them ate their meal as usual.

However, Zhang Yu Han could not help but notice his wife's mood. Usually, she was someone who would chat nonstop, but Zhang Yu Han noticed that she was quiet that night.

Zhang Yu Han heaved a sigh, thinking that his wife was in a bad mood.

Once the couple returned to the apartment, Zhang Yu Han noticed that his wife's mood has not gotten better. She had not spoken to him ever since they left the restaurant and had gone over to the bathroom to wash up the moment they returned. It was as if she was trying to avoid him.

Zhang Yu Han went over to his side and slid into bed. Then, he put his arms around her body and pulled her closer so that they were spooning each other. Since she has refused to face at him, Zhang Yu Han can only coax his wife and kissing her shoulder to comfort her.

After a while, Li Qin Yao began to shift and turned to face him. She snuggled into his embrace and put her face on his ċhėst. Her arms wrapped over his waist to hug him tightly.

Zhang Yu Han was able to tell that she has not fallen asleep. Seeing that she had faced him and returned to her favorite spot in his embrace, Zhang Yu Han let out a breath of relief, thinking that she had stopped being upset with him.
