Chapter 340 - Happy New Year (1/2)

Now that everyone had known the news, Li Qin Yao was no longer allowed to move around. Her mother-in-law sat at one side to ask her questions as well as giving her pointers and reminders of what she should look after during her pregnancy. Grandfather sat at another side, as he stared at her stomach with a happy expression.

Looking at the way her family was treating her, Li Qin Yao was suddenly speechless.

She did not expect that everyone would be this excited.

Li Qin Yao turned to look at her husband who sat across her and saw his darkened expression.

Suddenly, Li Qin Yao was no longer jealous that her mother had treated her husband better. In Zhang's house, everyone was siding with her and was warning Zhang Yu Han to treat her well. The aggrieved look on her husband's face immediately brought a smile to her face.

It was only after Liu Hui Lan was reminded of the dumplings in the kitchen that she left her daughter-in-law's side reluctantly.

Zhang Yu Han quickly reclaimed his place beside his wife and wrapped his arms around her shoulder. When he saw the smile on her face, Zhang Yu Han immediately knew what was on her mind. When no one was looking, he pinched at her cheek and whispered, ”Are you happy?”

Recently, Zhang Yu Han found that her cheek was getting tender and he had become addicted to pinch it.

Li Qin Yao nodded before she laid her head on his arms. ”I suddenly found out that, I will have a lot of backers if you dare to bully me.”

Zhang Yu Han scoffed at her words, but his embrace around her tightened. He kissed her head and said, ”Are you tired? Will you be able to stay up late?”

”It'll be fine,” Li Qin Yao said. ”Didn't I took a nap earlier?”

Zhang Yu Han raised a brow but did not say anything. Although the television was on, and the family was gathered in front of it, most of everyone did not really watch the program.

At the side, Grandfather and Zhang Xi was discussing something about work, while Zhang's siblings were listening to their conversation and spoke opinion when necessary.

After a while, Zhang Yu Ying walked over to the kitchen to drink some water and soon came back with a plate of dumplings. She walked over to Li Qin Yao and smiled. ”Sister-in-law, would you like one? Mom said there are a few more in the kitchen.”

Li Qin Yao glanced at the plate and picked one at random. After thanking Zhang Yu Ying, Li Qin Yao stuffed the dumpling in her mouth and paused after she chewed the food in her mouth a few times.

Zhang Yu Han heard the strange sound and quickly turned to his wife. ”What's wrong?” When he saw the frown in her face, Zhang Yu Han began to panic.

Li Qin Yao shook her head before she grabbed a napkin on the table. As she was regretting to stuff the whole thing into her mouth, Li Qin Yao took out the hard thing that she had accidentally bitten, a wide smile curled on her lips as she turned to Zhang Yu Han.

Seeing the coin on the napkin, Zhang Yu Han's shot a look at his wife. How can he not know what was on her mind? Seeing the face that seemed as if she was holding her laugh, Zhang Yu Han thought that if there was no one around, he would really go on and bit her.

Zhang Yu Ying noticed that little commotion and gasped when she saw the coin. ”Sister-in-law! You're lucky! Hey, I have been eating these for a while and haven't got a single coin.”

Once Zhang Jing and Zhang Xi heard her words, their attention shifted to Li Qin Yao.

”Qin Yao, it seemed that you will be having a good fortune this year,” Zhang Jing said.

Zhang Xi turned to his daughter and was excited to join in the fun. He asked for one of the dumplings, took a bite, and was disappointed upon finding that he was not lucky enough.

Suddenly, everyone wanted to join the fun and soon, Liu Hui Lan came out from the kitchen with another plate of cooked dumplings. Once she heard that Li Qin Yao was lucky enough to find a coin, she too started to join in the fun.
