Chapter 326 - A Tricky Question (1/2)

In the ninth week of her pregnancy, Li Qin Yao began to notice a slight bump on her stomach that resembled something that would only happen when she overeats.

At the sight of this, Li Qin Yao began to feel excited and worry at the same time. Fortunately, they were scheduled to see a doctor at the hospital where Qi Zheng was working and Li Qin Yao was dying to ask a few questions about her pregnancy.

Earlier that morning, when she noticed that her husband was walking out of the bathroom in his bathrobe and a towel on his head, Li Qin Yao turned around to look at Zhang Yu Han. ”Hubby, do you think I look fat?”

Zhang Yu Han paused abruptly. His gaze laid on his wife's body and thought that she was still too thin for someone who loves to go cafe hopping whenever she had a chance to.

Although he knew the answer in his head, Zhang Yu Han did not dare to answer this question. Once he found out that his wife was pregnant, Zhang Yu Han had done a lot of reading on the internet and once stumbled into a post in a forum.

According to the poster, his wife was asking the same question and soon was upset when he had said no. His wife than accused him of lying and soon locked herself in the bathroom and cried. After checking at the replies, Zhang Yu Han later found out that this was a tricky question with no correct answer.

Seeing that her husband did not answer her, Li Qin Yao walked over to her husband and poked at his ċhėst. ”What are you thinking about? Why are you standing here in a daze?” She tilted her head as she looked at him. ”Are you listening?”

”Of course I'm listening,” Zhang Yu Han stretched his hands and held her hands. He then looked at her stomach and sighed helplessly. ”Your stomach is bȧrėly showing yet. Why would you ask me if you look fat?” He then pulled her into his embrace at his fear that she would suddenly throw a tantrum and accuse him of lying. His mind whirled as he tried to think of something that he can do to change the topic. ”Speaking of this baby, Qin Yao, I have something I wanted to consult you.”

Li Qin Yao raised her head to look at him. ”What is it?”

”I bought this apartment when I was still single,” Zhang Yu Han said. ”Although this place is quite alright to live in with just the two of us, it will be too small to live in once the baby arrived. How about we find a new place? At least it should be big enough so that we can have a nursery room or a place for the child to run around.”

Li Qin Yao looked around the apartment and found that it was indeed unsuitable for them to live in once the baby had arrived. Once the baby arrived, they will need more space to put the baby's stuff. It was indeed convenient to have a larger place.

”That's true,” Li Qin Yao said. ”Since this is my line of business, let me ask around to find a suitable place.”

Zhang Yu Han smiled knowing that his wife would not mention her initial question. ”Alright, then, I will leave this to you.” He then kissed her on the temple and said, ”Come on. Let's get ready and have breakfast. Later, I'll accompany you for your check-up.”

When the two of them arrived at the hospital, Qi Zheng was already waiting for them at the entrance. He greeted them both and led them to the VIP room where they were going to meet the ȧssigned doctor for his wife.

Walking into the room, Li Qin Yao smiled upon seeing that it was Doctor Qiao, who they had previously seen. Li Qin Yao found that the gentle way that Doctor Qiao spoke was very comforting.

Qi Zheng exchanged a few words with Doctor Qiao briefly before the doctor called a nurse to help Li Qin Yao measure her weight and take a few samples.

While his wife was in another room, Zhang Yu Han was forced to wait at the outer side of the room with Qi Zheng accompanying him.
