Chapter 298 - The Night Before the Wedding (2/2)
Han Yue Xiu stared back at her friend with an expression as if she had seen a ghost. ”Are you crazy?” She let out a dry cough and continued. ”I don't want to sleep on yours and your husband's bed… No. No. I'll accompany your mother to sleep in the guest room.”
As she was unable to sleep, Li Qin Yao closed her eyes and tossed around on the bed. Her arms were hugging at Zhang Yu Han's pillow as she inhaled at a spot where his scent was the strongest.
Suddenly, she found herself missing her husband terribly.
Just then, her phone on the side table started to chime. Li Qin Yao looked at the screen and a huge smile appeared on her lips as she read his messages: ”Are you asleep?”
A giggle escaped her lips, knowing that her husband was missing her right now.
Shortly after, Li Qin Yao tapped her fingers on the screen. After two dial tone, Zhang Yu Han's face appeared on the screen. The joy on his face was apparent.
”Why are you not sleeping?” Li Qin Yao asked.
Zhang Yu Han spread his hand on the bed. ”My wife is not on my side right now, how can I sleep?” He let out a chuckle when he saw her bashful expression. ”Did you miss me?”
”Un.” Li Qin Yao nodded. Subconsciously, she tightened her grip on his pillow as if she was hugging him.
”I miss you too.”
Hearing his deep vibrating voice, Li Qin Yao felt her toes curled and the smile on her lips spread. Li Qin Yao stared at her husband's face through the screen and suddenly noticed the familiar shirt in his ċhėst.
”You... Isn't that my shirt?”
Zhang Yu Han lowered his gaze to look at the shirt. ”Un.”
”I only wear them last night to sleep and did not get the chance to wash them. Why did you take it away? Isn't it dirty?”
”I took them along with me because I know that I won't be able to sleep without you by my side. At least, with this method, I can still smell your scent and perhaps it would lull me to sleep.”
Li Qin Yao laughed, knowing that she was doing the same with his pillow. ”Does it work?”
Zhang Yu Han let out a long, frustrated sigh. ”It was not the same as hugging you.”
