Zhang Yu Han glanced at his wife when he heard her words. His gaze softened when he noticed the way her body was trembling slightly.

After everything, the only thing that she wanted the most was for her grandfather to know of her innocence.

Manager Guo closed his eyes in frustration. ”No. Miss Li, ah…” His ugly wailing continued. ”It's not that I did not want to testify, but I am telling you that I cannot do that. Don't you get it? If I showed up in front of Chairman Li, Manager Zhao will do something to my family.”

A glint of light flashed through Zhang Yu Han's eyes as he thought of what Qi Ming Wei had told him the other day—someone was keeping an eye on Guo Jun Shan's family. And that people had hired someone dangerous.

Zhang Yu Han held on his wife's hand and stepped forward, causing the man to flinch at his sudden movement. ”Mister Guo. Tell us what happened and what you know. If you cooperate with us, I can promise you that we will look after your family.”

Guo Jun Shan paused as he shifted his gaze at Zhang Yu Han.

Seeing the hesitant look on Guo Jun Shan's face, Zhang Yu Han continued. ”Don't you want to meet your family again?”

Manager Guo hesitated.

He had not met with his wife and family for two years! A few months ago, he had heard that his mother had passed away. He had wanted to attend to her funeral, but once he saw those men lurking around his family, Guo Jun Shan changed his mind. He knew very well what will happen if he showed up.

Two years ago, Li Qin Yao had found him and threatened to hand him over to the authorities and faced a heavy punishment for what he had done.

When she came to meet him, Li Qin Yao was prepared with concrete evidence of his misconduct. Once he saw the evidence laid on the table, Guo Jun Shan knew that he could not escape. Thus, he agreed with Li Qin Yao and told her who had given him the order to frame her.

Li Qin Yao was surprised upon learning that it was her second aunt, Zhao Wei's idea.

Two years ago, Chairman Li had promised that whoever among the cousins that had done their best would be chosen as the president of QL Group. Back then, Li Qin Yao and Li Mu Bai was the top contender for that position.

It was not hard for Li Qin Yao to figure out her second aunt's motive when she approached Manager Guo.

With all evidence against him, Guo Jun Shan had no other choice but to agree to testify against Zhao Wei. After all, Li Qin Yao had promised that she will help to lessen his sentence.

Who would know that Zhao Wei had hired people to keep their eyes on him? On the day he was supposed to testify before the shareholders, Zhao Wei had found him. That woman had brought along a few thugs with her.

Zhao Wei had threatened to harm his family if he appeared on the shareholders' meeting. With the help of those thugs, she was able to temper with the evidence that Li Qin Yao had found.

Seeing that he was in an unfavorable situation, Guo Jun Shan had chosen his family. He could bear to spend a few more years in prison, but he did not want something to happen to his family. What he did not know was that Zhao Wei had another plan for him.
