Chen Hao had noticed Li Qin Yao's presence from the beginning she entered the hall. He had wanted to walk over to her and talk to her, but his steps halted as he continued to watch her.

He was mesmerized by the way Li Qin Yao was dressed.

When they were still seeing each other, Chen Hao had never seen her dressed up in something like this. He had never seen her so beautiful as she did now, with a constant smile on her face.

Previously, Li Qin Yao had introduced Director Zhang as her boyfriend. In the beginning, Chen Hao was disheartened at the thought that Li Qin Yao had found someone else.

But after some thought, Chen Hao concluded that Li Qin Yao found Director Zhang and asked him to pretend to be her boyfriend just to provoke his anger.

During the time he dated Li Qin Yao, Chen Hao had never heard his girlfriend talk about Director Zhang. Li Qin Yao's circle of friends was too small. If she was an acquaintance with someone like Director Zhang, it would be impossible for her not to mention his name for at least once.

It was impossible for her to date someone rather quickly.

Chen Hao stepped forward and lifted his gaze to meet with Zhang Yu Han's. ”Director Zhang, you're here as well.” Chen Hao forced a smile.

Zhang Yu Han merely gave him a look, wondering what was he up to before he turned to pick up a few small cakes for his wife.

Chen Hao snorted as he was ignored. Anyway, since his purpose today was to meet Li Qin Yao and rekindle their relationship, Chen Hao decided not to mind Zhang Yu Han's attitude towards him.

”Didn't you say that you're hungry? Have some cake first.”

As if bewitched by his voice, Li Qin Yao turned to follow Zhang Yu Han's voice. Seeing that a plate of small cakes had appeared before her, Li Qin Yao's attention shifted away from Chen Hao. She took the plate from Zhang Yu Han and cut the cake into a small size and before she took a bite.

The smile on her lips returned as the sweet taste lingered in her mouth.

Chen Hao clenched his fist as the girl no longer paid attention to him. He could only convince himself to be patient if he wanted to win the girl's heart back. He knew that Li Qin Yao was still angry over what happened with his parents.

”Yao Yao,” Chen Hao moved to stand beside Li Qin Yao to catch her attention. ”When I received the invitation card, I know that you have not forgotten about me. But why did you purposely avoid me these past few days? I went to your office and your ȧssistant would tell me that you were not around.”

Because of that, Chen Hao had come to pester her again.
