Li Qin Yao was paused at the way Xiao Lian Yi addressed her. Her gaze fell at the black box and she stood up from her chair. ”What is it?”
”Looking at the brand on the box, I could guess that it was a dress. I signed to accept the delivery just now. It was Mister Zhang,” Xiao Lian Yi said. ”Perhaps it was something for you to wear for tonight's dinner party.”
Li Qin Yao looked at the box and picked up the card attached to the box. Realizing that Xiao Lian Yi was still in the room, Li Qin Yao dismissed her before she checked at what was written inside.
A soft chuckle escaped her lips when she finished. She walked over to her table to pick her phone and pressed the number on her speed dial. As she waited for the call to connect, Li Qin Yao peeked inside the box and was momentarily stunned.
Just as what Xiao Lian Yi had guessed, there was a dress inside the box along with a pair of shoes and a set of jewelry to compliment the dress.
Her hand moved to touch the materials as she marveled at the design.
”Qin Yao.”
Her husband's deep and vibrating voice sounded, causing her to shrink her neck a little bit. She removed her hand from the fabric and turned around. ”Are you busy?” Li Qin Yao asked.
”Not really,” Zhang Yu Han looked away from his computer screen and took the chance to take a break.
”I received your gift.”
A smile appeared on his lips. ”Do you like it?”
”Un.” she nodded.
”It's good that you like it,” he let out a chuckle. ”Then, will you be wearing the dress tonight?”
”It depends on whether I can fit in into the dress,” Li Qin Yao said.
”It should fit. I asked Yu Ying to help me pick up the dress,” Zhang Yu Han admitted. ”I only gave her the design and color as according to your liking.”
”Why did you suddenly decide to buy me a dress?”
”Didn't we have to attend a dinner party tonight?” Zhang Yu Han asked. ”I didn't see you preparing any dress yet. I thought that you might have forgotten.”
”I still have a few dresses left at my mother's apartment. I was planning to head back to her apartment and get ready from there.” Li Qin Yao let out a chuckle. ”Mister Zhang, you allowed me to dress this prettily, aren't you worried that some guy was going to snatch your wife away?” she asked, teasingly.
”Then, I won't leave your side. Who would dare to snatch my wife away with me at her side?”
Li Qin Yao laughed.
”Then, I'll come over and pick you up from mom's place this evening,” Zhang Yu Han said.
