Chapter 233 - You Silly Girl (2/2)
Hearing her words, Zhang Yu Han's face darkened. To think that someone dared to frame his wife!
”I was given a short period to prove that I am innocent,” Li Qin Yao continued. ”After a few days, we did found out a few clues and the person who had done something to the paperwork and changed the materials. Just as I was about to bring this person to the authorities, he suddenly disappeared. Without evidence and his testimony, I have no choice but to leave QL.”
Li Qin Yao looked at her husband's face and saw his anger. She put her hand on his cheek and he snapped out of his thought to look at her. The anger in his eyes dissipated a little bit.
Although he had previously asked his friend, Wei Jun Hao to look into the accident, they did not find out anything about this. What Zhang Yu Han knew through his investigation was almost the same as everyone else - that the accident happened because Li Qin Yao had authorized the use of cheap materials.
”The reason my mind with preoccupied with something else this recently was because the person who disappeared two years ago had suddenly reappeared,” Li Qin Yao said. ”I saw him the other day in Y City. But before the investigator gets to him, he had disappeared without any trail.”
”It's fine. You will find him again,” Zhang Yu Han said. ”I will help you to find him.”
Li Qin Yao smiled a little bit. ”The reason I was hesitant to tell you about this matter was that, after the investigation, I found that my second aunt, Zhao Wei was the one who gave her the order to sabotage the project.”
”What?” Zhang Yu Han watched her in disbelief.
Although he could see that his wife's relationship with her second aunt was not that good, Zhang Yu Han could not understand why an elder would do something to harm her niece.
If he had known about this earlier, he would not treat that aunt politely, no matter if she was her elder.
”My Li's family was not without fault. I was hesitant to tell you this because I did not want you to think badly about my family,” Li Qin Yao said. ”I did not want you to have a poor opinion about me.”
Zhang Yu Han frowned before he raised his hand to flick at her forehead.
”Ouch!” Li Qin Yao stared at him angrily. Although the flick was not painful, she was shocked that he would flick on her forehead. ”It hurts! Why would you flick on my forehead suddenly?”
”You silly girl,” Zhang Yu Han let out a helpless sigh. He pulled her into his embrace inhaled her scent.
Although he was angered after hearing how she was framed into something she did not do, Zhang Yu Han was relieved to know the reason why his wife seemed distressed.
At least he can be at ease knowing that he did not make a mistake.
”You are yourself. Why would I have a poor opinion about you?” Zhang Yu Han spoke at her ear. ”Qin Yao, was your opinion towards me that bad?”
”No.” She wriggled to get out of his embrace and looked at his face. ”Zhang Yu Han, I did not mean it like that.”
”Then, you should learn to trust me a little bit more. Or else, you should trust yourself that you did not make a bad choice in marrying someone who would judge you because of what your family has done.”
