Chapter 213 - We Have Something to Announce (1/2)

Lying on her bed, Li Qin Yao found that she could not stop smiling as she rolled around from left to right. Her heart was surrounded by a sweet feeling as she kept thinking about Zhang Yu Han.

She could not get him out of her head.

She had only spent a night to look after him and unknowingly, a lot of things has happened. Suddenly, they were now planning to get married.

Li Qin Yao buried her face on the pillow and let out a giggle. Fortunately, her mother was not around at the moment, or else, she might worry that her daughter had lost her mind.

Her phone beside her beeped shortly, indicating that someone had messaged her. Composing herself, Li Qin Yao then turned to look at her phone. A wide smile appeared on her face once she saw Zhang Yu Han's name. She clicked at his name and read his message.

It was a simple reminder for her to invite her mother to go out for lunch tomorrow, but still, that message brought indescribable joy to her. She had previously fallen in love and learned to like someone, but no one had made her feel the way Zhang Yu Han had made her feel.

Being with Zhang Yu Han made her feel as if she was a teenager. As she recalled how she had reacted, Li Qin Yao covered her face with her palm in embarrassment.

Just as she composed a reply and hit the send buŧŧon, Li Qin Yao could hear the front door swung open.

She left her room and found her mother entering the apartment with her luggage in tow.

Xu Yilan lifted her head when she heard a movement. A smile curved on her lips when she saw her daughter. ”You're home.” Xu Yilan pulled her luggage into the living room and sat down on the sofa with a loud sigh. ”How was Yu Han?”

Li Qin Yao felt her heart started to pound when she heard his name.

”Didn't you say that he had a fever last night?” Xu Yilan continued when her daughter did not reply.

”Hmm,” Li Qin Yao bit at her lips. ”His fever reduced after taking some medicine and rested. The doctor said that he was probably too exhausted.”

Xu Yilan let out another sigh. ”You young people. I know that his job is important, but he needs to remember to look after his body as well. Or it will be hard for him when he's older.”

”I know,” Li Qin Yao said. ”I'll make sure to remind him later. Right. Ma, did you have anything planned for tomorrow afternoon?”

”I don't think so,” Xu Yilan replied. ”What is it?”

”Nothing much. Just that, Zhang Yu Han wanted to invite us to have lunch together.”

”He's only recovering from fever,” Xu Yilan frowned. ”He should be resting at home when he had the chance to rest Why did he want to invite me to have lunch together?”

Li Qin Yao shrugged and looked away. She was afraid that her expression was going to betray her thoughts. Anyway, the two of them had talked and decided to announce that he had proposed to her when everyone had gathered together.

Fortunately, Xu Yilan was too tired after returning from her work trip to notice her daughter's strange expression.
