Chapter 195 - I will Always Choose to Believe You (1/2)

Zhang Yu Han glanced at the person beside him and frowned when he saw that she was unusually quiet. Although the two of them rarely had a conversation while he was driving, Zhang Yu Han could still tell that the girl was not in a good mood.

As the Cayenne stopped at the red light, Zhang Yu Han glanced at his girlfriend and hope that she will turn her head to look at him rather than looking out the window.

The red light turned green again, but the person beside him continued to stay in silence.

Zhang Yu Han finally pulled over his Cayenne to the side road and stared at her with worry. His brow furrowed. ”Qin Yao,” his voice was a whisper. ”What's wrong?”

When she did not answer, Zhang Yu Han reached for her hands which was rested on her thɨġh and held tightly. ”Do you want to go for a walk?”

There was a brief silence between them until Li Qin Yao finally nodded her head.

Zhang Yu Han turned his attention back to the road and drive until they reached a quiet neighborhood. He pulled his car next to the playground, turned the ignition off, hop off the driver seat, and went to her side.

Once he opened the door, Li Qin Yao tilted her head down and placed her forehead on his shoulder.

Zhang Yu Han knew right away that his girlfriend did not want him to see her expression right now. After dating her for a while, he began to understand some of her actions.

Most of the time, Li Qin Yao would try to hide her face whenever she was too shy to look at him. But this time, Zhang Yu Han knew that she was not hiding her face for that reason.

When he saw the way her shoulder started to tremble, Zhang Yu Han quickly put his arms around her shoulder and into his embrace. Gently, he started to pat her without saying anything.

His movement paused when he began to feel a wet spot on his shirt. Soon, a sniff followed and Zhang Yu Han knew right away that his girlfriend was silently crying.

Although he wanted nothing but to look at her face right now, Zhang Yu Han could only bear with it. As she did not want him to look at her face right now, Zhang Yu Han chose to respect her wishes.

As long as he can be by her side to comfort her, Zhang Yu Han thought that nothing else mattered.

After a long silence, Li Qin Yao finally raised her hand to wipe the tears on her face. ”Zhang Yu Han,” She finally spoke with a cracked voice. ”I'm sorry.”

”I've dirtied your shirt with my tears and snot.” She continued after a sniffle.

”It's fine. As long as you're alright, it's fine if you dirtied my shirt.”

Li Qin Yao let out a whimper. ”Zhang Yu Han.”

”Hmm?”

”You were supposed to attend Li Ming Han's wedding as my plus one, but in the end, you have to hear and witness all sorts of things,” Li Qin Yao sniffled. ”I'm sad. Although my relationship with Li Mu Chen was never that good, I'm still sad to hear her say such things about me.”

Her face contorted as she recalled that Li Mu Chen was trying to sow discord between her and Zhang Yu Han.
