The wedding reception soon ended and the guests began to leave the banquet hall after having their fill of good food and drinks.

After saying their farewell to Chairman Li and the others, Zhang Jing and Zhang Yu Ying was ready to return to the hotel. As Li Qin Yao had gone to discuss a few matters with Li Mu Bai, Zhang Yu Han decided to escort his grandfather to leave the reception first.

The three of them stood at the entrance while waiting for Xiao Ye to arrive. As both the mayor and Secretary Bai had decided to come over to chat with Zhang Jing while waiting, the three of them caught the other attention.

Zhang Yu Han snapped out of his trance and hid the watch under his sleeve. ”It's a present from your sister-in-law.”

Zhang Yu Ying clicked her tongue as she watched her brother quickly hid away his arms before she could take a good look at the present. She muttered a few dissatisfaction words before she raised a brow at her brother. ”No wonder you look so happy.”

Zhang Yu Han covered a hand on the watch as he heard the clicking of high heels heading towards them. He turned around and frowned when he saw that familiar face heading towards them. Of course, Zhang Yu Han had remembered the face of the woman who had disturbed his alone time with his girlfriend earlier.

Of course, the newcomer was no one else other than Li Mu Chen.

Seeing that the woman was about to come closer to them, Zhang Yu Han turned to look away. However, at this time, he saw how Li Mu Chen tripped on the carpet and was about to fall forward.

”Miss Li, are you alright?” Zhang Yu Ying asked. She helped Li Mu Chen to stand up and smiled.

Meanwhile, Li Mu Chen gritted her teeth as her plan to play as a helpless maiden has failed. However, knowing Zhang Yu Ying's identity, there was nothing that she can do towards her.

”Thank you for your help,” Li Mu Chen forced a smile.

As Zhang Yu Ying saw the smile, a thought crossed her mind and she decided to play along. ”Miss Li, you have to be careful with your steps,” her voice was slightly high as she spoke. ”Fortunately, I was quick enough to catch you.”

Li Mu Chen lifted her head and blushed when she noticed that everyone around was staring at her. Even the mayor and Secretary Bai were now looking at her direction. She lifted her head to look at Zhang Yu Han and was disappointed when he did not even spare a glance at her.

Since her initial plan has failed, Li Mu Chen could not think to spare another minute under the others' gaze. She clenched her hand on her skirt before she turned around and head back into the hall.
