Li Qin Yao had told him that she did not do what the others had accused her and he chose to believe in her. Even after he had asked Wei Jun Hao to look into the matter, in the end, he came out with the same conclusion.

He believed that she was not responsible for that accident.

After getting close to her and spending his time with her, Zhang Yu Han knew that his girlfriend was not someone who would do such things. He probed deeper into the case and found a few strange things regarding the accident. However, he could not find out that person who had wanted to cause her harm.

Zhang Yu Han frowned as the conversation continued. He wanted to turn around and asked the men to shut up. However, he knew that he could not leave the woman in front of him just like that.

Right now, he needed to be by her side.

He pulled her into his embrace and covering her pale face from passerby's eyes. Then, he patted on her back and tried to coax her. But no matter what he does, the girl in his embrace was unresponsive.

Meanwhile, the men's conversation continued and it doesn't look like they were planning to stop soon.

Zhang Yu Han took a deep breath and exhaled loudly. He found that the men's conversation was starting to annoy him. Zhang Yu Han put both hands to cover her ears and bent down to look at her in the eyes again.

”Qin Yao,” he called her name again. His voice sounded more like a pleading. ”Please don't frighten me like this. Li Qin Yao! Look at me!”

”Zhang... Yu Han?” her lips moved to speak his name.

Zhang Yu Han let out a long breath when the girl finally answered his call. ”Qin Yao, are you alright?”

Li Qin Yao blinked her eyes a few more times. It was as if she had only realized where she was. She stared at him for a while before she nodded with uncertainty.

Zhang Yu Han pulled her back into his embrace. ”You scared me. What happened to you?”

”I,” she hesitated. Her voice was a whisper.

Zhang Yu Han frowned with worry when she did not continue. ”Alright. Don't say anything. Just take a few deep breaths. Don't worry. I'm here with you.” He patted her on her back and kissed her forehead.

Because of his tall body blocking her, the others could not see clearly what was going on.

Once she had calmed down a little bit, Zhang Yu Han led her out to the balcony for a bit of fresh air and texted his sister of their situation so that the others would now worry after the long absence.
