Seeing that Zhang Yu Han had stood up to accompany her niece, Li Chun let out a happy laugh. ”Look at you two. You're inseparable.”

Zhang Yu Han merely smiled at Li Chun's comment, while Li Qin Yao lowered her gaze shyly.

”Little Auntie, please don't tease me.”

Once she was teased enough by her auntie, Li Qin Yao finally able to escape to the restroom.

As the two walked in the hall, Zhang Yu Han linked her arms with his as he was worried that she might trip on something. ”Your relationship with your auntie is quite good.”

”Hmm... My youngest aunt always looked after me when I was still small. So, I was quite close to her. But we drifted apart after she got married and followed her husband.” She lifted her head and caught Zhang Yu Han staring at her. ”Why are you looking at me like that?”

”Nothing,” Zhang Yu Han smiled. ”I suddenly wonder how did you look like when you're a small girl.”

Li Qin Yao looked at him with a big smile on her face. ”My mom always said that I was adorable.”

He paused to stare at her face a few seconds longer.”You're still adorable now.”

Suddenly, she felt warmth creeping up to her face. How was it possible that Zhang Yu Han always said something that would make her giddy and embarrass at the same time?

As the two reached a restroom, Li Qin Yao told him to wait for her in the hallway before she walked in into the women's room.

After a few minutes, Li Qin Yao walked out and smiled when she saw that Zhang Yu Han was waiting for her in the hallway. She walked towards him and suddenly stopped when she heard a conversation.

Although she did not recognize the owner of the voices, Li Qin Yao could hear them discussing her and the accident from two years ago.

The voices were saying that she was too shameless to appear at the wedding banquet.

The others started to wonder whether she was making a comeback in the industry and some even mentioned that the would refuse collaboration with QL Group if she was chosen as their project manager.

Suddenly, Li Qin Yao felt as if she was back to two years ago.

The voices around her were getting louder. She could hear the boards of the directors' accusation voices. They were blaming her for authorizing the use of cheap materials. The victims' families voices, pleading for justice over their family member's death. Then, there were the reporters' sharp and painful accusations.

She tried to explain that it was not her doing, that she was framed. But none of them around her would believe her words.

”... Li Qin Yao! Look at me!”

Hearing that familiar deep and magnetic voice so close to her ears, Li Qin Yao snapped out of her trance. She lifted her head only to meet Zhang Yu Han's worried gaze.

She blinked her eyes a few times at him and only then that she noticed that Zhang Yu Han had covered his ears with his palm as if to block her from hearing anything else.
