Chapter 173 - Help to Contact a Doctor (1/2)

From Han Yue Xiu's tone of voice, Li Qin Yao could sense that something does not seem right. Li Qin Yao smiled at Zhang Yu Han and turned around to return to her room before she started to speak again, ”Yue Xiu, what's wrong?”

”It's my mother,” Han Yue Xiu said. She took a deep breath and started to tell her friend of her mother's heart condition.

Li Qin Yao gripped the front of her shirt as she listened to Han Yue Xiu's story. She had thought that Han Yue Xiu was enjoying time with her parents with the festivity season last week. She did not think that her friend and her family were facing something so difficult.

Although she wished that Han Yue Xiu would share her difficulties with her sooner so that she can be by her friend's side, Li Qin Yao knew that Han Yue Xiu was busy looking after her mother.

She hoped that she can be presented beside her friend after what she has been through, but at this moment, she could not do anything but to offer a few comforting words.

”Supposedly, there shouldn't be any problem with my mom's upcoming surgery, but after viewing her case, they were afraid that there might be some complication and they were not confident that they can continue with the surgery. After some discussion with my dad, we decided to bring her back and consult the specialists there,” Han Yue Xiu paused. ”I heard that there is a good cardiologist in Capital City.”

”You want me to help contact that doctor?” Li Qin Yao asked.

”Hmm… can you?”

”Of course I can,” Li Qin Yao said. ”Don't worry. I will help you to contact that doctor and book an appointment. Later, you just need to send me the name of that doctor. When are you planning to return?”

”Our flight is scheduled the day after tomorrow. We're planning to head straight to Capital City and stayed with my dad's brother for a while.”

”Yue Xiu is there anything else I can help you with?”

”It's fine. Thank you, but Yao Yao you don't have to worry about me,” Han Yue Xiu said. ”My ex-boss, Song Yi stayed around these past few days. Surprisingly, he has been a great help.”

Li Qin Yao wanted to ask about things between Han Yue Xiu and her ex-boss, but this was not the appropriate time. She continued to chat with Han Yue Xiu about her mother's condition for a while longer.

Once she hung up the call, Li Qin Yao immediately sent a text to her former ȧssistant, Bei Ruo Xi, to help her check about this doctor.

When she looked up, Li Qin Yao caught Zhang Yu Han standing at the door. She gave him a faint smile and he immediately walked in and sat beside her on the bed.

”How long have you been there,” Li Qin Yao asked.

”Just for a while. Your mother asked me to help with a few other things.” Zhang Yu Han helped to push back a few strands of hair behind her hair. ”What's wrong?”

Li Qin Yao leaned her head on his ċhėst and Zhang Yu Han immediately wrapped his arms around her body to comfort her.

”Yue Xiu's mom was admitted to the hospital,” Li Qin Yao said before she told her boyfriend of the situation.

Seeing the unhappy expression on her face made Zhang Yu Han's heart ached.

He knew that as compared to him, Li Qin Yao did not have many friends around her. Han Yue Xiu was his girlfriend's oldest friend. Because they were previously neighbors, Zhang Yu Han had heard that their mothers were close.
